Rotary Club of Thane organized an informative session on Terrace Gardening by Arti Chauhan, a passionate environmentalist known for her work in tree plantations, greenery and sustainable living through Hariyali NGO. She shared valuable insights on terrace farming, including soil and seed selection, climate-based vegetable cultivation, terrace gardening challenges and solutions, leakage prevention techniques, natural pesticides, homemade manure preparation from kitchen waste, and gardening initiatives adopted in schools, inspiring everyone towards a greener and healthier lifestyle.

✨ Spreading Values, Inspiring Young Minds ✨

Rotary Club of Thane conducted a truly impactful session of Yashache Panchatantra at Dnyanpeeth Vidyalay. Around 65 students of the 9th standard participated in an engaging, activity-based motivational session that beautifully highlighted the importance of five core values in life.

The session was wonderfully led by our First Lady, Vandana Vartak, whose energy and connection with the students made the experience both relatable and inspiring. 😇👌

The smiles on the students’ faces as they received their medals were simply priceless — moments that spoke louder than words. 🙂

A heartfelt thank you to First lady Vandana Vartak and Club Youth Director Rtn. Neha Soni for organizing this so thoughtfully.

250 मुलांसोबत आनंद वाटण्याचा एक सुंदर अनुभव.”

Rotary Club of Thane President Rtn. Girish Vartak along with first lady Ann Vandana Vartak spent a memorable evening with underprivileged children at a wonderful event organised by Phoenix Sports, an organisation dedicated to supporting such children for the past two decades.

Our Rotary Club of Thane was honoured to sponsor food for 250 children, sharing smiles, warmth and joy with them. 🍽️✨

It was yet another wondeful experience one that leaves you emotional, reflective and deeply grateful.

✨🔮 Astrology in the 21st Century – An Enlightening Experience 🔮✨

Rotary Club of Thane has organized an insightful and thought-provoking lecture on Astrology, delivered by Shri Anant Marathe of Prathamesh Jyotish Sanstha, Thane.

The session beautifully highlighted the relevance and usefulness of astrology in today’s modern life, while breaking many long-held misconceptions.

🔹 Key highlights of the lecture included:
✔️ Myth-busting explanations about Rahu, Mangal, Ketu, and Shani
✔️ Live Kundali readings with practical examples
✔️ How astrology helps in understanding rebirth, lifeline, education, marriage, children, and career
✔️ Fascinating twin Kundali analysis
✔️ Understanding human nature and behavior through Kundali
✔️ Clarification of myths related to Nag Bali and other rituals

🔹 The audience was also deeply engaged by discussions on future predictions, such as:

🌍🏰 UNESCO Journey of Maharashtra’s Glorious Forts 🏰🌍

Rotary Club of Thane conducted a captivating visual and storytelling journey by Mr. Hrishikesh Yadav, who explained us entire UNESCO selection journey — from understanding the UNESCO criteria, intensive documentation, and navigating governmental hurdles, to the drafting of nakashas (maps) and high-precision models of 12 forts with micro-level accuracy.

He also shared the inspiring behind-the-scenes reality of managing expenses from his own pocket, relentless follow-ups, and finally the UNESCO voting process that led to global recognition of Maharashtra’s forts.

An eye-opening, inspiring session that truly showcased the dedication, perseverance, and passion behind preserving our heritage. 🇮🇳🏰
