elected President of Thane City Daily Journalists Association, Deepak Shelar elected Executive President
Nilesh Mandlik, Secretary Rajiv Dake, and Joint - Secretary Prasad Sakat were all elected unopposed.
Thane: On Sunday Dilip Shinde won the position of President of the renowned Thane City Daily Journalists Association with a landslide victory taking over the leadership of the association. Meanwhile, in a closely contested election for the Working President position, Deepak Shelar defeated his rival Vikas Kate,earning the title of "Giant Killer." Rajesh Shetkar also made history by winning the Treasurer position unopposed.The voting process, held at the late Narendra Ballal Hall of the Thane Municipal Corporation, received a surprising response from members. To ensure a transparent and fair election process, Mahesh Rajderkar, a retired Thane Municipal Corporation official, served as the Election Officer, while Prachi Dingankar served as the Assistant Election Officer. Prachi's entire team was instrumental in the election process. The Presidential race was closely contested between Dilip Shinde, Amol Pawar, Deepak Dalvi, and Suresh Salve. Dilip Shinde won with 71 votes, while Deepak Dalvi received 50 votes.Deepak Shelar won the Working President election with 75 votes defeating Vikas Kate (50). Rajesh Shetkar won the Treasurer election with 77 votes, defeating Rahul Kshirsagar (47). Meanwhile,Nilesh Mandlik was elected Vice President,Rajiv Dake Secretary and Prasad Sakat Joint Secretary without any opposition. Nikesh Shardul (90), Gajanan Harimkar (71), Amar Rajbhar (65), Sachin Deshmane (58), Nitin Dudhsagar (55), and Prafulla Gangurde (54) won the election for six executive member positions. Sarika Salunkhe won the female member position with 86 votes. Hearty Congratulations to all!
