As part of the Varavayi Vruthiyude Chakravarthi campaign, we launched a new initiative: "Stitch and Switch - It all starts with one bag!" in conjunction with the Swap Shop. This campaign celebrated sustainability in action by converting old clothes into beautiful carry bags, absolutely free of charge. People brought in their used garments, which we then transformed, giving old fabric a new lease on life.Face to face awareness was also Conducted about the the importantance of Haritha Onam and Green protocol during celebrations

Inauguration πΈ: Smt. Anu Kumari IAS, the District Collector, inaugurated the program.
First Bag Handover π±: Sri. Arunraj P V, District Coordinator of the Suchitwa Mission, presented the first eco-friendly carry bag, crafted from used clothes, to the District Collector.
Appreciation π: Sri. V.K. Prasanth, MLA, visited the stall and praised the initiative.
Over 50 reusable bags were stitched and distributed using clothes contributed by both staff and the public. This activity marked the successful finale of our Swap Shop @ Collectorate, effectively spreading the message of reuse, responsible consumption, and plastic-free living.
The event was organized by the District Suchitwa Mission & Change Can Change Climate Change Foundation in association with the Collectorate Staff Recreation Club and the Haritha Keralam Mission.
