Dear members, The Indian Dairy Association – Kerala Chapter is pleased to announce the second edition of the Southern Dairy Summit, titled the Southern Dairy and Food Conclave 2026 (SDFC-2026), scheduled to be held from January 8 to 10, 2026, in the historic city of Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala. This year’s conclave will include Food as a key element of the theme, with primary focus on the Dairy industry, reflecting the evolving interconnection between these two vital sectors. The summit aims to bring together stakeholders from across the Southern region, including industry leaders, academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and policymakers. Kozhikode has been unanimously chosen as the host city in honor of being the birthplace of Padma Vibhushan Dr. Verghese Kurien, the Father of the White Revolution in India. The first day of the event (January 8) will serve as a pre-conference day, dedicated to student and researcher paper presentations, young scientist forums, dairy and food startup showcases and innovative business idea presentations, offering a platform for emerging voices and fresh ideas in the industry. The main conclave on January 9 and 10 will feature a rich array of sessions, including techno-commercial presentations, scientific discussions, poster sessions, farmer-interactive forums, and a comprehensive exhibition of products, equipments and innovations. SDFC-2026 aims to bring together industry leaders, academicians, entrepreneurs, professionals and farmers from across South India to exchange knowledge, explore collaborations and progress the future of dairy and food sectors. With its broad scope and inclusive approach, the conclave promises to be a landmark event fostering innovation, sustainability, and growth in these vital industries.As part of SDFC, we are pleased to inform you that "Theme Suggestion Competition" has been announced. In this context, we invite all the IDA members,Students, Research scholars,farmers, professionals,industry persons to participate in the competition.
