MSME-Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Thrissur organized an Awareness Programme on Branding & Marketing under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme on 01.07.2026 at MSME-DFO, Thrissur.

The programme witnessed active participation from 120 PM Vishwakarma Scheme beneficiaries from different Trades. The objective of the programme was to enhance awareness on branding, marketing strategies, digital literacy, financial literacy, AI applications, Udyam registration, and various Central and State Government schemes.Experts from various field handled the sessions.

The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Sheeba S , General Manager, District Industries Centre, Thrissur. The inaugural session was presided over by Shri Martin P. Chacko , IEDS, Assistant Director Grade, MSME-DFO, Thrissur.

The programme provided valuable insights to the beneficiaries for improving market access, adopting digital tools, and strengthening their business capabilities. The event concluded with an interactive feedback session and vote of thanks by Ms. Ayesha Reja, Young Professional, MSME-DNC, Lakshadweep. Programme got concluded by 04.45PM

Overall, the programme was highly beneficial to the participants.

International MSME Day 2026 Celebrated at MSME-DFO, Thrissur

The MSME Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Thrissur, in association with SIDBI, Kochi, celebrated International MSME Day 2026 by organizing a Stakeholder Awareness Programme on 24 June 2026 at the Golden Jubilee Hall, MSME-DFO, Thrissur. The programme was conducted in connection with the observance of International MSME Day, celebrated globally on 27 June, to recognize the vital contribution of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to employment generation, innovation, industrial growth, and sustainable economic development. The programme was attended by 170 participants.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. K. Paul Thomas, Managing Director & CEO, ESAF Small Finance Bank. The gathering was presided over by Shri G. S. Prakash, Director, MSME-DFO, Thrissur. The dignitaries included Shri Shaju Raphel T., Deputy General Manager, SIDBI, Kochi; Shri Philip A. Mulakkal, Managing Director, Ocean Polymer Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and District President, KSSIA, Thrissur; and Shri Prasanth S. Menon, Managing Partner, Anugraha Processors, Palakkad, and Joint General Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati, Kerala, as Guests of Honour.

The programme featured expert sessions on:
• AI Applications for MSMEs by Shri Sreeresh K., Director, Nexxa Corporates Infotech Pvt. Ltd.
• SIDBI Support Schemes, CGTMSE, and ECLGS Initiatives by Shri Shaju Raphel T., Deputy General Manager, SIDBI, Kochi
• GST Compliance and Recent Updates for MSMEs by Shri Shashidharan, Assistant Commissioner, CGST, Thrissur
• Schemes and Policies of the Ministry of MSME by Ms. Aruna Markose, Young Professional, MSME-DFO, Thrissur
• Awareness on IPOs for MSMEs by Shri Himanshu Srivastava, Senior Manager, National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.

The celebration successfully concluded with the interactive sessions facilitated meaningful discussions among the participants.
