A sudden storm occured at around 12:40 PM today at greater Titabor area.As a result 19 nos of HT poles and around 22 nos LT poles got damaged. There are numerous conductor snapping incidents occured in and around Titabor.

Also there are 2 nos of 33KV poles got slanted in 33KV Titabor Borholla feeder.

According to latest site report, 33/11KV Borhulla Substation got back charged from 33/11KV Wokha Goronga substation (Furkating). And after continuous efforts, 33KV Mariani - Letekujan feeder got charged but 11KV Turung, 11KV Dholi - Bukahola Tea, 11KV Town Chariali feeder from 33/11KV Letekujan Substation and 11KV Madhapur, 11KV Alengi, 11KV Town Tinali and 11KV Melamati feeder could not be charged till time as damage is extensive in these places. Empanelled contractors are engaged everywhere. Regretted for the inconvenience occured to all esteemed consumers.

A tree fell inside the Nagadholi Division tea garden, Mariani near a canal and snapped the conductor of main 33KV Mariani Titabor HT line. Restoration is under progress. Inconvenience is regretted.

Steps taken by Titabor ESD, APDCL to improve power supply to public in the following areas:-

1. Borholla Town;-

Previously, entire Borholla Town was fed from the rural 11KV Rajabahar feeder. But, due to illegal encroachment of APDCL control room land by an employee of Titabor Revenue Circle office, we could not manage to install the necessary equipment for separation of both rural & urban section of the line inside the 33/11KV Borholla Substation itself. So, the Borholla Town section was continued from the Borholla Control room but the rural section of 11KV Rajabahar consisting of villages like Ekorani, Mahimabari, Bosa etc were diverted to a new 11KV feeder from Athkhelia control room in Gulaghat district.

Now, several steps were taken to minimise the line faults in the Borholla Town areas such as-

A. An electrical boundary was created to divide the Rajabahar feeder into two sections, Borholla Town section and Ekorani Mahimabari Bosa section. Afterwards, the old 11KV Rajabahar feeder was bifurcated into two independent feeders, 11KV Borholla Town feeder and 11KV Ekorani/Mahimabari/Bosa feeder.

B. Now 11KV Borholla Town feeder feeds the Borholla Town, Borholla Tea Garden upto Kherema Kachari starting from Borholla control room onwards. This line originates from Borholla control room.

C. The 11KV rural Ekorani/Mahimabari/Bosa feeder feeds the village areas previously under the old 11KV Rajabahar feeder. This line originates from Athkhelia Control room, Gulaghat due to unavailability of space in Borholla Control room.

D. Four transformers of Bamun Chuk near Bosa no 2 were handed over to the Gulaghat ESD 2. There were lots of bamboos in that area, so line disturbance will reduce from this transfer.

E. Previously, prior to the bifurcation, any disturbance in any part of the feeder resulted in blackout/ power cut in the entire feeder. But, now the disturbance has been localised to their originating section and cannot affect the whole town ie disturbance in Borholla Town will affect Borholla Town side only and disturbance in rural section will affect Ekorani/Mahimabari/Bosa gaon section only.

Any constructive suggestions are highly welcome. Due to encroachment of APDCL land, some major future renovation/upgradation planning got stuck but we are endeavouring to improve the power position scenario within the present circumstances.

On the afternoon of 16th September, a high intensity storm struck parts of Titabor and damaged our lines, poles at various places. Restoration is under progress and will be completed very soon. Inconvenience is deeply regretted.

Please beware of such fraudulent messages.

It is to inform all our valued consumers that any message from APDCL will be sent from the sender ID "DAPDCL". As such, consumers are requested to check the sender ID before taking any action on such fraudulent messages.

Our esteemed consumers can cross check the meter reading of their premise by themselves using the below chart.
1. Meter make means the meter manufacturing company.
SML: Secure Meter Ltd, the meter serial number normally starts with AS, ASA, Y, SS, ASE
Socomac: HPL Socomac, identified by double white coloured square shaped button for single phase meter and triple white coloured button for three phase meters. Meter serial number starts with 4, 5, 7, Z
Genus: Genus Power, normally meter serial number starts with GE
L&T: Larsen & Toubro
2. Type means single phase (upto 4KW load) or three phase connection (5KW and above)
3. History reading: this is the reading which is printed on bill. This represents the meter reading at 12:00AM midnight on 1st day of every month. This figure does not change during the month. This reading again changes on 12:00AM of 1st day of next month.( This is the most important parameter)
4. Cum reading: Cumulative reading aka instantaneous reading is the latest reading at the moment of meter reading.
5. Inst power factor: PF at the moment
6. Av. Power factor: Average monthly PF
7. Maximum demand: MD
