📢 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: TEAM JNV JORHAT FLOOD RELIEF PHASE 2 UPDATE 🙏
“The true measure of humanity is not in what we have, but in what we share.”
On 09/08/2026, the dedicated team of PM SHRI School, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jorhat, joined by supportive Parents and incredible Local Volunteers, successfully completed our second flood relief drive.
Wading through receding floodwaters, the team traveled deep into 4 remote villages of Sivasagar district to deliver vital relief materials directly into the hands of affected families.
As floodwaters pull back, communities face severe health hazards, lack of sanitation, and daily survival challenges. To directly counter these issues, our team successfully distributed specialized Flood Relief Hygiene and Essential Kits packed with critical items:

🧼 2 Bath Soaps & 2 Washing Soaps
🧴 1 Bottle of Phenyl & 1 Bottle of Dettol
⚪ 1 Packet of Bleaching Powder
💧 5 ORS Packets & Water Purification Tablets
🦟 1 Mosquito Repellent Coil Pack
🪥 Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
👗 Daily Use Clothes
🎒 School Uniforms for Kids
🧪 Ointments for Skin Infections
💧 Clean Drinking Water
🧺 Surf (Washing Powder)
🩸 Sanitary Pads
A heartfelt thank you to every member of the JNV family, our volunteers, and our well-wishers. Your incredible compassion and swift support have provided health, safety, and dignity to these remote communities as they begin to rebuild their lives.

The Certificate Distribution Ceremony of the Cane & Bamboo Craft Workshop was held yesterday at JNV Jorhat.

We were honoured to have Shri Ashraful Alom, Handicraft Promotional Officer, Jorhat, as the Chief Guest. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Prasanta Chanda, whose support and guidance enriched the learning experience of our students.

Empowering Young Minds | Career Guidance & Life Skills Programme

PM SHRI School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Titabar, Jorhat successfully organized a two-day Career Guidance and Counselling Session on 27th & 28th July 2026 for its students under the PM SHRI initiative.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. Kishore Doley, an accomplished Navodaya alumnus and the Managing Director of Pensive Supremo Edu Pvt. Ltd. A renowned Career Counsellor, HR Consultant, Emotional Intelligence Trainer, Relationship Coach, and Corporate Trainer, Mr. Doley shared invaluable insights drawn from his vast professional experience.

During the two-day programme, students explored topics such as career planning, career clarity, emotional intelligence, life skills, communication, leadership, interview readiness, and personal development. Through engaging interactions and practical guidance, he motivated students to dream big, develop the right mindset, and prepare themselves for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

PM SHRI School JNV Titabar, Jorhat expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Kishore Doley for dedicating his time and expertise to inspire our students. We are confident that the knowledge and motivation gained during these two days will help them make informed career choices and become responsible, successful citizens.

🌊 PM SHRI School JNV Titabar, Jorhat Extends a Helping Hand to Flood-Affected Families 🤝
In the true spirit of "Service Before Self", the staff members of PM SHRI School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jorhat came together to provide relief materials to flood-affected families in different villages of Sivasagar District, Assam.
Despite challenging conditions, our team travelled through floodwaters by country boat and on foot to reach the affected households and distribute essential relief kits containing food items and daily necessities. The smiles and gratitude of the beneficiaries reminded us that even a small act of kindness can bring hope during difficult times.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff members, local volunteers, volunteer parents and boatmen who made this humanitarian effort possible. We also pray for the safety, strength, and speedy recovery of all families affected by the floods.
Together, we stand with our communities in their hour of need.
