Outreach AYUSH Medical Camps | Una District

Outreach AYUSH Medical Camps were conducted at Gram Panchayat Chattara and AWC Upper Gondpur Banehra by Dr. Tuesy Sharma and Dr. Shilpi, bringing accessible, community-centred healthcare closer to the people.

The camps focused on health screening, preventive care, counselling and holistic wellness through the AYUSH system, with special emphasis on early detection, health awareness and healthy lifestyle practices.

Key Activities:-

• Blood pressure and blood sugar screening
• UPT screening
• General health counselling and appropriate medical advice
• Yoga sessions promoting physical and mental well-being
• Counselling on the importance and benefits of breastfeeding
• HPV vaccination awareness session, covering HPV infection, the importance of vaccination and addressing beneficiaries’ queries and concerns

Such outreach initiatives reflect the commitment of the AYUSH Department, Una towards taking preventive, promotive and holistic healthcare services to the community—especially to those who benefit most from care delivered closer to home.

A sensitization and awareness lecture on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) was conducted by Dr. Nisha Verma, Dr. Priyankshi Garg, and Dr. Arti Sharma, focusing on HPV prevention, vaccination, screening, and cervical cancer awareness.

Outreach Medical Camp | AWC Kolka

An Outreach Medical Camp was organized at AWC Kolka by AAM Raipur Maidan on 17 August 2026, with active community participation.

Key activities included:

- General health check-up and blood pressure monitoring
- Diagnostic screening: RBS & UPT
- Distribution of IEC materials
- Yoga session for the community
- Health counselling on Varsha Ritucharya (वर्षा ऋतुचर्या) and appropriate Aahaar-Vihaar

The camp was conducted with the dedicated efforts of Dr. Pallavi Singh (AMO), Mr. Sunny (APO), Mr. Ravikant (Male Yoga Guide), and Mrs. Poonam Sharma (Female Yoga Guide).
