GST awareness and outreach programs are bein conducted by Vadodara-I commissionerate to facilitate tax payers. A special focus is being given on helping taxpayer file Annual GST returns(9/9A/9C).
As per CBIC directive, awareness and information about other trade friendly reforms that will be implemented soon including New return filing system, Single Cash Leger, Single refund disbursing, E-invoicing system, Composition scheme, Sabka Vishwas scheme is being imparted through our outreach platforms.

On the occasion of GST Day, 2019, the Central GST Dept., Vadodara jointly with the Faculty of Commerce, The Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda organized a “Seminar on GST” on 03rd July, 2019 to sensitize the young minds about the significance of GST towards the goal of nation-building.

Over 120 students along with faculty participated in the seminar conducted by Shri Dhananjay Singh , Assistant Commissioner of Central GST, Vadodara-I along with his team. Topics of the seminar ranged from the latest developments in the field of GST to the way forward in GST.

The seminar concluded with a QUIZ on GST, wherein winners were awarded certificates and mementos

The Central GST department is hopeful that the event led to enhanced awareness about GST among the youth os MSU.

In a unique initiative Central GST Vadodara-I commissionerate organised a program "GST आपके द्वार " / "GST at your doorsteps" in chapaner village area on completion of 2 years of GST.
The trade representatives from local businesses and near by GIDC were invited. Also all field officers as well top echelon of Central GST dept. vadodara zone were present, ranging from inspectors to The Chief Commissioner, Central GST vadodara Zone Shri Ashok Mehta , Pr. Commissioner of Audit ,vadodara Shri Ajay Ubale, and other officers including Additional Commissioners , Joint Commissioners , and Deupty/Assistant Commissioners, to interact with trade.

The program included a talk on "GST awareness: common mistakes from trade" by Shri Sanjay Saraswat (Suprintendent CGST Vadodara), a presidential awardee for his work and knowledge of GST.
The program concluded by awarding 10 commendation certificate to Officers who have done commendable work in GST regime followed by lunch for all.
