Customs & Central Excise Laboratory, Vadodara has been, on 28.07.2022, recognised by the Ministry of Environment & Forests as an Environmental Laboratory under the provisions of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. This recognition is co-terminus with NABL accreditation of this laboratory. Vadodara laboratory has thus become the first Revenue Laboratory to be recognised as an Environmental Laboratory.
