काशी हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालय के कला संकाय स्थित कवि सम्राट उपेन्द्र भंज ओड़िया पीठ की व्याख्यान श्रृंखला के अंतर्गत लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय के प्रो. अशोक कुमार शतपथी ने “ओडिशा में श्रीकृष्ण उपासना का ऐतिहासिक विकास एवं सांस्कृतिक महत्त्व” विषय पर व्याख्यान दिया।

प्रो. शतपथी ने ओडिशा में श्रीकृष्ण उपासना के ऐतिहासिक विकास तथा इसके विविध धार्मिक, सामाजिक और सांस्कृतिक आयामों पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने बताया कि ओडिशा की सांस्कृतिक परंपरा में श्रीकृष्ण उपासना का विकास विभिन्न ऐतिहासिक चरणों से गुजरते हुए एक विशिष्ट स्वरूप ग्रहण करता है। उन्होंने साहित्य, धार्मिक परंपराओं और सांस्कृतिक प्रथाओं के संदर्भ में श्रीकृष्ण उपासना की निरंतरता तथा ओडिशा के सामाजिक एवं सांस्कृतिक जीवन पर इसके प्रभाव को रेखांकित किया।

अपने अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन में प्रो. शरदिन्दु कुमार तिवारी ने ओडिशा की धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक परंपराओं के अध्ययन में ऐसे अकादमिक विमर्शों के महत्त्व को रेखांकित किया। व्याख्यान के पश्चात् एक सार्थक प्रश्नोत्तर एवं संवाद सत्र भी आयोजित किया गया।

Banaras Hindu University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dalmia group for the repair, renovation and development of key facilities on the University campus. The MoU was signed by Shri Rajan Srivastava, Registrar, BHU and Shri Kunal Dalmia in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi.

Under the MoU, Dalmia group will undertake renovation and development works at Seth Duli Chand Ji Dalmia Hostel, the east-facing patch of land adjoining Kamaccha in the Central Hindu School (CHS) area, and Savitri Devi Dalmia Vigyan Bhawan at MMV.

Late Laxminiwas Dalmia had donated the Seth Duli Chand Ji Dalmia Hostel to the University in 1973, while Shri Kunal Dalmia and his company had donated the Savitri Devi Dalmia Vigyan Bhawan through an MoU signed in 2004.

Banaras Hindu University has signed two MoUs with the Confederation of Indian Industry, to bring together academic scholarship, India's cultural heritage, and industry partnership for the benefit of its students.

The two collaborations focus on the organisation of the inaugural Banaras Biennale 2026 in association with Bharat Kala Bhawan, and the establishment of a CII Education to Employment & Enterprise (E2EE) Lounge in association with the university's Placement & Internship Cell.

The MoUs were signed by Registrar Sh. Rajan Srivastava from BHU's side. The signatories from CII were Ms. Amita Sarkar, DDG, CII, and Mr. Prashant AN, Executive Director, CII.

Under the first MoU, BHU's Bharat Kala Bhawan will serve as a key institutional partner for the inaugural CII Banaras Biennale 2026, an entire month-long city-wide cultural event planned to be held from 27th November to 31st December 2026.

The second MoU establishes a CII Education to Employment & Enterprise (E2EE) Career Lounge on the BHU campus, developed in partnership with the University's Placement & Internship Cell. It will provide students with technology-enabled career support, including career counselling, soft-skills training, internships, apprenticeships, placement assistance, job fairs and entrepreneurship mentoring, further strengthening the pathway from education to employment and enterprise.

The students of the Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University, have made the institution proud by achieving outstanding results in the CBI Public Prosecutor Examination 2026, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

A total of six students from the Faculty have secured impressive ranks in this highly competitive and prestigious examination.

Congratulations to Anshuman Tripathi (Rank 2), Rahul Yadav (Rank 3), Kamalakshee Kumari (Rank 11), Virendra Kumar (Rank 16), Shantanu Bhatt (Rank 18), and Anand Seth (Rank 20) on their outstanding achievement, a shining testament to their hard work and commitment.

The results mark one of the strongest showings by the Faculty in a national-level competitive law examination in recent years.

The CBI Public Prosecutor Examination is among the most rigorous and sought-after examinations in the legal services sector, attracting applicants from leading law schools across the country. Selected candidates go on to serve as Public Prosecutors for the Central Bureau of Investigation, prosecuting some of the nation’s most significant criminal cases and shouldering considerable responsibility.
