जागरूकता से सशक्तिकरण की ओर एक कदम 🌸
जन विकास समिति, मुर्दाहा, वाराणसी द्वारा 17 जुलाई 2026 को डोभी ब्लॉक की ग्राम पंचायत अमिलिया में "महिलाओं एवं किशोरियों का जेंडर एवं न्याय विषय पर एक दिवसीय क्षमता संवर्धन सेमिनार" सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित किया गया।
इस कार्यक्रम में 140 प्रतिभागियों ने सहभागिता की, जिनमें गर्भवती महिलाएँ, धात्री महिलाएँ, किशोरियाँ, नवविवाहित एवं अन्य महिलाएँ शामिल रहीं। प्रशिक्षण के दौरान लैंगिक समानता, महिला अधिकार, न्याय तक पहुँच, घरेलू हिंसा से संरक्षण, बाल विवाह की रोकथाम, कार्यस्थल पर महिलाओं के अधिकार तथा महिला एवं बाल संरक्षण से संबंधित कानूनों एवं सरकारी योजनाओं की विस्तृत जानकारी साझा की गई।
इस पहल का उद्देश्य महिलाओं एवं किशोरियों को उनके अधिकारों के प्रति जागरूक बनाना, आत्मविश्वास बढ़ाना तथा उन्हें अपने समुदाय में लैंगिक समानता और सामाजिक न्याय की सशक्त आवाज़ बनने के लिए प्रेरित करना था।

🌾 Empowering Women Farmers Through Knowledge!

Jan Vikas Samiti successfully organized a 2-Day Training Workshop on Crop Management for Kharif Crops on 13–14 July 2026 at Nevada Village, Pindra Block, Varanasi.

The workshop equipped 65 SHG women members with practical knowledge on scientific and sustainable farming practices, including seed treatment, soil health, balanced fertilizer use, water management, integrated nutrient & w**d management, and pest & disease control. Participants also learned the importance of timely sowing, quality seed selection, and climate-resilient farming for better crop productivity.

Through interactive sessions and experience sharing, the workshop inspired women farmers to adopt improved agricultural practices that will contribute to sustainable livelihoods and enhanced farm productivity.

Labour Rights & Social Security Awareness Training for Unorganized Workers

Jan Vikas Samiti, Murdaha, Varanasi successfully organized a Labour Rights & Social Security Awareness Training Program for women working in the unorganized sector. Around 45 women workers actively participated in the session.

The training was conducted by Mrs. Rekha Srivastava, who provided valuable insights into labour rights, labour laws, the importance of Labour Cards and e-Shram Cards, and various government welfare schemes available for registered workers. Participants also learned about the worker registration process, required documents, and how to access benefits offered by the Labour Department.

The session encouraged open discussions, allowing participants to share their experiences, raise concerns, and receive guidance on their queries. The program concluded with a strong message to stay informed about their rights, make full use of government welfare schemes, and spread awareness among fellow workers.

A Training Program on Financial Management and Investment was successfully organized on 19 May 2026 at Babatpur, Pindra Block, Varanasi District, for 51 Self-Help Group (SHG) members with the objective of strengthening their financial knowledge and improving household economic security.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Anil Kumar, who provided practical guidance on financial planning, savings and budgeting, investment awareness, income management, proper utilization of financial resources, and livelihood improvement strategies. Participants also learned the importance of financial discipline and how effective money management can contribute to a more secure and sustainable future for their families.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation, interactive discussions, and positive feedback from the SHG members. Financial awareness plays an important role in women’s empowerment, economic stability, and community development.

A One-Day Training Programme on “Agri-Based Business Activities” was successfully organized on 22 May 2026 at Sarhad Village, Pindra Block, Varanasi, to encourage agriculture-based entrepreneurship and enhance income generation opportunities among rural women and Self-Help Group (SHG) members. A total of 52 SHG women actively participated in the programme with great enthusiasm and interest.

Resource persons Mr. Vivek Kumar Maurya and Dr. Shivam Chaubey shared practical knowledge and guidance on organic farming, vegetable cultivation, mushroom production, dairy farming, goat rearing, vermicompost production, and value addition of agricultural products. Participants were also informed about government support schemes, group-based enterprise models, and market linkage opportunities.

The session concluded with active interaction, experience sharing, and strong motivation among participants to explore sustainable agri-business opportunities for improved livelihoods. The organization also assured continued technical support and guidance to help women move towards self-reliance and economic empowerment.

A Workshop on Developing Business Plans for Entrepreneurial Activities was successfully organized on 06 May 2026 at Puwari Khurd, Varanasi District, with the objective of promoting self-employment, sustainable livelihoods, and entrepreneurship development among SHG members.

The workshop focused on preparing practical business plans for small-scale enterprises such as dairy farming, goat rearing, poultry farming, vegetable cultivation, tailoring activities, small retail shops, and food processing enterprises. The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Vivek Kumar Maurya and Dr. Shivam Chaubey, with the support of field staff members Anju and Jadawati.

Participants received practical guidance on enterprise development, business planning, financial management, income-generating activities, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. A Training Program on Entrepreneurial Practices, Non-Agricultural Ventures, and Animal Husbandry was successfully organized on 05 May 2026 at Mahadevpur, Harahua Block, Varanasi District, to strengthen livelihood opportunities and entrepreneurial capacities among SHG members. A total of 61 SHG members actively participated in the programme with great enthusiasm and interest.

The training sessions were facilitated by Dr. Ganesh Kr. Gupta and Dr. Shivam Chaubey, with the valuable support of field staff members Jadawati and Anju Devi. The programme focused on entrepreneurship development, non-agricultural income-generating activities, sustainable livelihood opportunities, animal husbandry management practices, and skill enhancement for self-employment.

Community Awareness & Counselling Session on Labour Rights at Prakasha Bhatta, Puwari Kala

On April 25, 2026, a community awareness and counselling session was conducted at Prakasha Bhatta, a brick kiln in Puwari Kala, for women and men workers. The session aimed to raise awareness about labour rights and access to government welfare schemes.

Magistrate Rekha Srivastava addressed the participants and shared key information on workers’ rights, legal age of marriage, pension schemes, benefits for persons with disabilities, working hours, and workplace safety. She also highlighted important government initiatives such as the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, Sukanya Yojana, and MGNREGA.

The session was interactive, with workers actively participating and sharing their concerns. These were addressed simply and practically. Overall, the session was well-received and found to be informative and beneficial.

**One-Day Training on Agri-Based Business for Women Farmers**

On April 23, 2026, Jan Vikas Samiti, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, successfully organized a one-day training program on agri-based business in Hurhuri Panchayat of Kerakat Block. The training was conducted by expert trainers Dr. Ganesh Kumar Gupta and Dr. Shivam Chaubey.

During the session, the experts provided comprehensive insights into various aspects of agriculture-based enterprises. Key topics included dairy farming, organic farming, food processing, and poultry. Dr. Ganesh Kumar Gupta highlighted that agri-based businesses not only help in increasing farmers’ income but also contribute significantly to improving their overall health and well-being.

A total of 60 women farmers actively participated in the training and expressed their commitment to adopting these business models to enhance their livelihoods.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sudha Singh, who appreciated the efforts of all participants and organizers.

Overall, the training proved to be informative, practical, and inspiring for the participating farmers.
