Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, Vice Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, Goa Shipyard Limited, attended the inauguration of the 3rd batch of DAKSH (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession & Harmony), a flagship leadership development programme for senior executives of CPSEs, jointly curated by SCOPE and the Capacity Building Commission.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State, Government of India, in the presence of Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, DPE; Smt S. Goa Shipyard Limited proudly commissioned Indian Coast Guard Ship ICGS Akshay (Yard 1273), marking yet another milestone in India's journey towards maritime self-reliance.

The ceremony was graced by Smt Parama Sen, IA & AS, Additional Secretary (Personnel), Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of IG Bhisham Sharma, PTM, TM, COMCG (West), Indian Coast Guard; Shri Jahangeer Alam Ansari, Director (Finance) and Shri Nagesh Das Pai, Director (CPP&BD).

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and inauguration by Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, CMD, GSL, along with Directors and Senior Management, in the presence of Yoga Shikshaks.

The programme featured invigorating Yoga Asana sessions, insightful talks on “Yoga in Daily Life” and “Wellness”, an interactive session on “Stress and Burnout”, and practical yoga demonstrations, highlighting the role of yoga in promoting physical vitality, mental resilience, and holistic well-being across all stages of life.
