As the inauguration of the Bhogapuram International Airport approaches, the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) has nearly completed the construction of key connecting roads to ensure seamless and timely access to the airport.

Under the guidance of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, the directions of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Shri P. Narayana, and the initiative of Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan, the major road connectivity projects linking the airport have been completed, making travel to Bhogapuram International Airport faster and more convenient.

With the airport set to become operational, special programs are being organized under the theme Wings to North Andhra's Dreams, celebrating a new era of connectivity, growth, and opportunities for the region.

Public Accounts Committee Reviews Labour Cess Collection
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly's Public Accounts Committee reviewed labour cess collection related to building permissions at VMRDA. Metropolitan Commissioner Sri N. Tej Bharath, IAS presented a detailed briefing, clarifying VMRDA's role in providing technical approvals, while labour cess collection and remittance are managed by the respective local bodies.
VMRDA Chairman Sri M.V. Pranav Gopal also felicitated the PAC Chairman and members during the visit.

VMRDA Chairman M.V. Pranav Gopal visited the Vizianagaram Zonal Office, where the Public Darbar received an encouraging response. He personally interacted with citizens, received their grievances, and directed officials to ensure prompt resolution through field inspections wherever necessary. He also urged residents to make use of the Public Darbar held every Tuesday at the Vizianagaram Zonal Office, eliminating the need to travel to Visakhapatnam.

Highlighting the government's focus on balanced regional development, the Chairman said VMRDA is strengthening urban and rural infrastructure across its jurisdiction. Around ₹28 crore has been allocated for development works in Vizianagaram district, including roads, drains, culverts, and park development. He also announced that, if suitable land is identified, VMRDA is ready to develop a modern model park in Vizianagaram on the lines of Visakhapatnam's UDA Park.

The programme was attended by Vizianagaram MLA Aditi Vijayalakshmi Gajapathiraju, VMRDA District Coordination Officer Maheswara Rao, and other officials.

YuvaGalam Anti-Drug Theme Park Coming Soon!

VMRDA Chairman Sri M.V. Pranav Gopal, along with Metropolitan Commissioner Sri N. Tej Bharath, inspected the ongoing works of the world's first YuvaGalam Anti-Drug Theme Park at Central Park, Visakhapatnam.

The Chairman directed officials to complete the park by the end of August, creating a unique destination that combines awareness, innovation, and entertainment to inspire a drug-free future for the youth.
