Nagaland police had requested the public about the implementation of the
(i) Tenant registration App and
for streamlining the submission and registration of Tenant(s) and Landlords through OTP based verification.
Diligent and Timely registration of ALL TENANTS BY THE LANDLORDS AND TENANTS will aid efforts by the State Government and the enforcement agencies in effective detection of anti-social elements and illegal immigrants and to take preventive measures for the safety of the citizens of the state and well-being of society.
Nagaland Police therefore appeals to all the concerned citizens who are either Landlords or Tenants, to make use of the Tenant Registration App and assist the law enforcement agencies in our efforts to provide for a safer society.
The Tenant Registration App can be downloaded from the Nagaland Police website https://police.nagaland.gov.in. The app will be available on Google Play Store soon.
The house owners can also get the app or .apk file from the police stations.
Your nearest Police Station can be approached for any assistance pertaining to the Tenant Registration App.
Please note that no charges or fees to be paid for registration by anyone for using these apps.

Wokha Police trace Hit-and-Run truck: Accused identified; Efforts on to apprehend.

On 24/12/25, a hit-and-run incident on the Wokha–Chukitong Highway was reported at Wokha Police Station, involving a truck and a motorcycle. One individual on the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries, while the pillion rider sustained serious injuries.

During the preliminary investigation, the details of the truck involved were ascertained by the Wokha Police through reliable sources and CCTV footage. Subsequently, the truck bearing registration number NL07A/2482 was found abandoned in a garage in Dimapur and was immediately seized with the assistance of Dimapur Police. However, the accused driver, identified as Chotalal Yadav (40 years), is absconding. Efforts are underway to apprehend him.

In this connection, a case has been registered at Wokha Police Station under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Motor Vehicles (MV) Acts.

A Drug awareness campaign programme was organised at Wokha Police Station by the Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF), DEF Wokha in collaboration with the CMO Office, Wokha. The event aimed to highlight the importance of leading a drug-free life and spreading awareness on the available support mechanisms for recovery.

The programme, held under the empowering theme ‘Recovery is Possible: Accessing Help, Staying Safe & Reclaiming Life,’ featured insightful sessions led by Shri. Biren Lotha, Addl. SP & Nodal Officer, ANTF and Shri. Lichumo Odyuo, DPO (DAPCU).

An interactive discussions session were followed, where participants raised questions which were thoughtfully addressed by the resource persons, fostering deeper understanding and engagement.
Free HIV & Hepatitis screening was also provided to encourage better health awareness.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas – Run for Unity 2025

Celebrating Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with a vibrant ‘Run for Unity’ organized by Wokha Police in collaboration with the All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA), Wokha Unit on 31st October 2025.

Over 119 students from 12 schools and 110 personnel representing various units, including Police, home guards, fire dept. and allied services came together to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, spreading the spirit of national unity across Wokha.
