Today, 06 Yangang-Rangang GPU successfully conducted a Bal Sabha Election Demonstration Program.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all the respected Panchayat Smt. Krishna Pradha Rai, Joshna Limboo, M B Shanker, H B Basnett, Dil Kumar Ramudamu, Bishnu Psd. Rai and Devi Maya Gurung for their visionary leadership and support throughout the program.
Panchayat President Smt. Krishna Pradha Rai shared a short briefing on Bal Sabha and its importance in building leadership among children.

The main resource person for the program was Mr. Kumar Chamling, Junior Faculty, SIRD.

Students from JHS Pathing, JHS Sokay, JHS Samrok, and JHS Upper Yangang participated enthusiastically.
The students enjoyed electing their Prime Minister and other Cabinet Members. The session was interactive, informative, and productive.

We thank all the participating students along with the teachers who brought the students for this meaningful program.

OBITUARY

With profound sorrow and deep sadness, we inform the demise of our beloved mother, mother-in-law, and family member, Late Shiva Kumari Chettri, wife of Gopal Chettri, resident of Lower Rangang, Yangang, Namchi District, Sikkim.

She departed for her heavenly abode, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will forever remain in the hearts of her family, relatives, friends, and well-wishers.

A Gram Sabha meeting was successfully conducted today, 23rd June 2026, at our Gram Panchayat Unit (GPU) meeting was started in presence of the chair person of the Sabha Hon’ble Panchayat President, Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Member, Panchayat Members of all wards, BDO Madam, SDM Sir, AD (PRI), Shri P. D. Rai, VO (Animal Husbandry), Mr. D. K. Pradhan, Mr. Kumar Chamling (SIRD, Jorethang), Mr. Lalit Rai (NERLP), Mr. Pushkar Rai (ADC), Branch Manager (SISCO), all GPK staff, and the residents of the respective wards.
The meeting served as an important platform for dialogue, planning, and community participation. Various developmental and welfare-related issues were discussed in detail, with valuable inputs from officials, elected representatives, and members of the public.
Key Highlights of the Meeting:
Review of ongoing and proposed developmental works.
Discussion on the effective implementation of various government schemes and programmes.
Deliberation on livelihood enhancement, skill development, and self-employment opportunities.
Awareness and support initiatives related to Animal Husbandry and rural livelihoods.
Promotion of financial inclusion and banking services among rural households.
Public grievances, concerns, and suggestions were heard, discussed, and duly recorded.
Emphasis on transparency, accountability, and participatory governance at the grassroots level.
The active participation of villagers and stakeholders contributed significantly to the success of the meeting, strengthening democratic decision-making and reinforcing the spirit of grassroots governance. The Gram Sabha reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development, community empowerment, and collective progress for the welfare of all citizens.
