As the UN turns 80, it is a moment to reflect—not to step backward, but to push forward. Iraq has made strides in legal reform, economic empowerment, political participation, and social protection, but there is still work to be done. How can we ensure that progress is not only sustained but accelerated? The global fight for women’s rights is Iraq’s fight too, and lasting change requires collective action.
