🏥 ለወሰማ ወረዳ ጤና ጣቢያ ከ2.5 ሚሊዮን ብር በላይ የህክምና ግብዓት ድጋፍ ተደረገ
የዜጎችን ጤና መጠበቅና የጤና አገልግሎትን ማጠናከር የተቀናጀ አጋርነትን የሚጠይቅ ተግባር ነው።
በአውሮፓ ህብረት (EU) በተደረገ ቀጥተኛ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ፣ በSave the Children International (SCI) መሪነት ከASDEPO እና PAD ጋር በመተባበር እየተተገበረ ባለው EU-INTPA Post-Conflict Medical and Mental Health Psychosocial Support Project ስር፣ ለወሰማ ወረዳ ጤና ጣቢያ ከ2.5 ሚሊዮን ብር በላይ ግምት ያላቸው የህክምና መሳሪያዎች፣ መድኃኒቶች፣ ኮምፒዩተሮች፣ ፕሪንተሮች፣ የህክምና አልጋዎች፣ የቢሮ ቁሳቁሶችና ሌሎች አስፈላጊ ግብዓቶች ድጋፍ ተሰጥቷል።
ይህ ድጋፍ በግጭት ተጎድተው ለነበሩ ማህበረሰቦች እና ለጾታዊ ጥቃት ተጎጂዎች የሚሰጠውን የህክምና፣ የስነ-አዕምሮና የማህበራዊ ድጋፍ አገልግሎት በከፍተኛ ደረጃ የሚያጠናክር ሲሆን፣ በወረዳው የጤና ተቋማት ያሉ የአገልግሎት ክፍተቶችን በመቀነስ ጥራት ያለውና ተደራሽ የጤና አገልግሎት ለማረጋገጥ የጎላ አስተዋፅኦ ይኖረዋል።
የወሰማ ወረዳ ጤና ጽ/ቤት ኃላፊ አቶ ሚፍታህ አብደላ በሰጡት መግለጫ፣ ፕሮጀክቱ ከወረዳው ጋር በመቆም ያሳየውን ጠንካራ አጋርነት ከፍ አድርገው በማድነቅ፣ የተደረገው ድጋፍ በጤና ተቋማቱ የሚገኙ ችግሮችን በመፍታት የህብረተሰቡን የጤና አገልግሎት ለማሻሻል ትልቅ ሚና እንደሚኖረው ገልጸው፣ ለEU፣ SCI፣ ASDEPO እና PAD ከልብ ምስጋና አቅርበዋል።
በSCI በኩል ሄልዝ ፕሮግራም ማናጀር አቶ አንዋር ዩሱፍ በበኩላቸው፣ በጾታዊ ጥቃት ተጎጂዎችና በግጭት ተጎድተው ለሚኖሩ ማህበረሰቦች የህክምና፣ የስነ-አዕምሮና የማህበራዊ ድጋፍ በቀጣይነት እንደሚቀጥል ገልጸው፣ ምቹ የህክምና አካባቢን መፍጠርና ጥራት ያለውን የጤና አገልግሎት ለሁሉም ተደራሽ ማድረግ የፕሮጀክቱ ቀዳሚ ግብ መሆኑን አስረድተዋል።

Medical Equipment and Supplies Worth Over ETB 2.5 Million Delivered to Wasema Woreda Health Center
Strengthening healthcare systems through strategic partnership remains a cornerstone of improving the well-being of communities.
With direct financial support from the European Union (EU), the Save the Children International (SCI), in collaboration with ASDEPO and PAD, has successfully provided medical equipment, essential medicines, office furniture, and healthcare supplies valued at more than ETB 2.5 million to Wasema Woreda Health Center under the EU-INTPA Post-Conflict Medical and Mental Health Psychosocial Support Service to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Survivors and Conflict-Affected Communities Project.
The support package includes modern medical equipment, essential medicines, computers, printers, examination beds, office desks, waiting chairs, shelves, and other critical health facility materials. These resources are expected to significantly strengthen healthcare service delivery, improve the quality and accessibility of essential health services, and enhance the capacity of the health center to provide comprehensive care for vulnerable populations, particularly survivors of gender-based violence and conflict-affected communities.
Speaking during the official handover ceremony, Mr. Miftah Abdella, Head of the Wasema Woreda Health Office, expressed his sincere appreciation to the European Union, Save the Children International, ASDEPO, and PAD for their continued partnership and commitment. He emphasized that this substantial support will address critical shortages of medical equipment and supplies, strengthen the health system, and improve the quality of healthcare services available to the community.
On behalf of Save the Children International, Mr. Anwar Yusuf, Save The Children Health Program Manager, reaffirmed the organization's commitment to continuing its support for survivors of gender-based violence and conflict-affected communities through integrated medical, mental health, and psychosocial services. He stressed that creating a safe healthcare environment and ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services remain central objectives of the project.
This milestone demonstrates the power of strong partnerships in rebuilding resilient health systems and ensuring that vulnerable communities receive quality, timely, and life-saving healthcare services.
