Villa Paterno Villa Paterno, an ex-convent of the Vallombrosian monks, was used frequently by the General Abbot and many illustrious visitors on their way to the Abbey.

The villa is surrounded by 5,000 sq. meters of private grounds incorporating vine-covered pergolas (the owners also make their own wine!), olive groves and a wonderfully productive fruit and vegetable garden, the produce from which is generously provided for the use of the guests.
