During Pitti Uomo 65, Stazione Leopolda hosted “Excess. Fashion and underground culture in the 1980s”, a project that reinterpreted one of the most influential decades in fashion through a highly constructed environment.
The installation, composed of over 40 containers, articulated the space into multiple thematic areas, contrasting the rise of branded fashion with underground experimentation, from the aesthetics of the body to identity transformation.
A project where architecture was not a backdrop, but part of the narrative: shaping paths, atmospheres and perception.
Over time, exhibitions like this have defined Stazione Leopolda as a space capable of supporting complex cultural formats, where content and spatial design evolve together.
