Una performance eccezionale della Sinfonie Imperiali APS di Francavilla Fontana. (08/09/2026) Ieri sera, in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, ci hanno regalato brani tratti da colonne sonore cinematografiche, come "La Bella e la Bestia" e "Dragon Trainer". C'è davvero tanto talento musicale a Francavilla: complimenti! Pubblicherò un video Francavilla Fontana, Salento. Puglia, Italy oggi.

🇬🇧 A superb performance by "Sinfonie Imperiali APS" of Francavilla Fontana. (8/09/2026) Last night, in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, they treated us to music from the cinema, such as "Beauty and the Beast" and "How to train your dragon". There is is so much musical talent in Francavilla, well done!

Thank you to the Festa Committee of Francavilla Fontana and the young dancers from ICOS Dance for providing such a fun evening. Great video. We are looking forward to more fun and music over the coming days.

LA GRAVITA DEL GESTO is an exhibition of large sculptures with a sports theme on display in Palazzo del Sedile in Piazza Dante, Francavilla Fontana. Free entry through the door on the left and up the stairs. Open until 18 October 2026 18:00-21:00.

LA GRAVITA DEL GESTO è una mostra di grandi sculture a tema sportivo allestita a Palazzo del Sedile in Piazza Dante, Francavilla Fontana. Ingresso libero dalla porta a sinistra e salendo le scale. Aperta fino al 18 ottobre 2026 dalle 18:00 alle 21:00.

Martedì 8 settembre, alle ore 19:30, la Biblioteca Comunale "Giovanni Calò" ospiterà la cerimonia di intitolazione di due sale interne, dedicate a Eleonora Borghese e Brigida Grimaldi, e del giardino pensile, dedicato a Margherita Hack.

La cerimonia sarà anche l'occasione per visitare il giardino pensile della Biblioteca. (In English below)
Seguirà una dimostrazione del funzionamento del telescopio, condotta dal professor Francesco Camastra.
Se desiderate scoprire il nuovo giardino pensile e ammirare il tramonto, potete farlo nei seguenti giorni e orari:
Lunedì-Martedì-Giovedì 18:00-20:00
Mercoledì-Venerdì 18:00-22:00
Orario estivo valido fino al 27 settembre.

La Biblioteca Comunale "Giovanni Calò" di Francavilla Fontana si trova accanto al Castello Imperiali, con ingressi sia da Vico Castello che da Via Barbaro Forleo. Offre servizi di prestito, sale studio e sale lettura.

Orari di apertura normali: dal lunedì al venerdì dalle 8:00 alle 20:00, sabato dalle 7:30 alle 13:30.

🇬🇧 On Tuesday, September 8, at 7:30 pm, the "Giovanni Calò" Municipal Library will host a ceremony to name two internal rooms, dedicated to Eleonora Borghese and Brigida Grimaldi, and the roof garden, dedicated to Margherita Hack.
The naming ceremony will also be an opportunity to experience the Library's roof garden and a demonstration of the telescope's operation, led by professor Francesco Camastra, will follow.
If you want to discover the new roof garden and watch the sunset, you can do it on the following days and times:
Monday-Tuesday-Thursday 6-8pm
Wednesday-Friday 6-10pm
Summer hours valid until September 27th.

The “Giovanni Calò” Municipal Library of Francavilla Fontana is located next to Castello Imperiali, with entrances from both Vico Castello and Via Barbaro Forleo. It has loan services, study and reading rooms.
Normal opening hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 7:30am to 1:30pm.

Great cinema, heard live.🎬🎶
Cinema in Concerto, a project by Sinfonie Imperiali APS, arrives on Tuesday, September 8th, at 9:00 pm in Piazza Giovanni XXIII.
Around 30 musicians, directed by Maestro Cosimo Di Lorenzo, will perform live some of the most famous soundtracks in the history of cinema, while the big screen will play in sync with the images of the films that made them unforgettable.
Music and images thus meet in a unique experience, designed for families, enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to rediscover the thrill of cinema in a different form. Free admission.

Cinema in Concerto, un progetto della Sinfonie Imperiali APS, arriva martedì 8 settembre alle ore 21:00 in Piazza Giovanni XXIII.

Circa 30 musicisti, diretti dal Maestro Cosimo Di Lorenzo, eseguiranno dal vivo alcune delle colonne sonore più celebri della storia del cinema, mentre il grande schermo proietterà musica in sincrono con le immagini dei film che le hanno rese indimenticabili.
Musica e immagini si incontrano così in un'esperienza unica, pensata per famiglie, appassionati e chiunque voglia riscoprire l'emozione del cinema in una forma diversa. Ingresso gratuito.
