🐞Our EVOO 2024
is quite unique this year here on
'our side' of Umbria...
for the first time in our 20 years it has an aroma of 'agrumi'...
precisely lemons 🍋.
It is no acidity (amaro-evoo must have less than 1%),
yet it is bitter (pizzica), indicating it's polyphenol content😋🫒.

Always thanking Ricci for years of attention to our olives with a cold press & filtering within 24 hrs♥️

We use no chemicals, only our own vegetation compost fertilizer.

Elenora Roe-Kyllingstad, my Great Grandmother 'Lena' left me her handkerchiefs when she passed
at the age of 99.
She brought her delicate handwork with her on her long voyage alone at the age od 18...from Norway to the USA ...in the late 1800's.
This is just one of a series...

Nella musica di Roberto Fonseca vive una miscela di tradizioni popolari, jazz, musica classica, ritmi afrocubani, e altro ancora lungo una linea che parte da Cuba e si interfaccia con il mondo. Il suo attesissimo show arriverà sul palco di Umbria Jazz il 19 luglio, subito dopo l'esibizione del gigante della musica cubana Chucho Valdés.

Marking the completion of the second floor under the eaves in the old casale which originated as the bread oven serving Poggio di Guardea farmers, then stables grew around the oven to dry cure meat. As most typical farm houses, living spaces grew over the oven...but here it grew vertically only when families could finally leave the del Poggio di Guardea and live on the land they farmed (but still did not own).
