TRIO.BAS Biological Air Sampler TRIO.BAS is a new portable instrument, unique in the market. It is available in different versions: Mini, MONO, DUO, TRIO, ISOLATOR, GAS.

From pioneers of the first portable air sampler in the 1980s to leaders in contamination control: with the TRIO.BAS™, CONT.AIR and GENIUS SYSTEM, Orum International provides integrated monitoring of viable and non-viable particles. “Orum International Srl” is an Italian company born from the long experience acquired by Roberto and Sandro Ligugnana brothers in the world of scientific microbiology i

nstruments. After founding the company PBI International during the 60’, the activities of the Ligugnana brothers was concentrated on creating innovative solutions for microbiology with invention, marketing and production of tools to standardize microbiological controls in the pharmaceutical, agro-food, hospital and biotechnology fields. In the 80’ they have designed, created and patented the first portable microbiological air sampler SAS (Surface Air Sampler) which became the reference tool for monitoring the microbiological contamination of the air. After creating the first portable sampler, the Company today introduces a new model the TRIO.BAS (patented) taking advantage of the gained experience, together with the new technologies and application needs.

CARLO ERBA Reagents and INTERNATIONAL are pleased to announce the signing of an exclusive agreement covering the entire Italian territory.

This collaboration brings together CARLO ERBA Reagents, a long-established company within the Dasit Group, active in the laboratory, chemical reagents and Life Science sectors, and ORUM INTERNATIONAL , a company specialized in industrial microbiology and manufacturer of the TRIO.BAS Biological Air Sampler, exported worldwide.

The agreement aims to strengthen the presence of ORUM solutions on the Italian market by combining the commercial expertise of CARLO ERBA Reagents with ORUM’s technical specialization in microbiological air sampling. Also operating within the Dasit Group is FASTER, an international company manufacturing biological safety cabinets and isolators, with a customer base that largely overlaps with ORUM’s in the pharmaceutical, hospital and food sectors, as well as in all environments where contamination control is essential.

Angelo Fracassi, President of the Dasit Group, stated:
“We are very pleased with this collaboration with ORUM INTERNATIONAL. This agreement brings together two companies that share experience, professionalism and a deep knowledge of the Italian market.”

Sandro Ligugnana, President of ORUM INTERNATIONAL, commented:
