AF Systems è specializzata in tecnologie legate alla compartimentazione dei locali ed alla difesa passiva contro gli incendi, mediante la sigillatura antifuoco degli attraversamenti dei cavi elettrici, delle tubazioni di vario genere e delle condotte di ventilazione fino alla realizzazione di muri e barriere tagliafiamma e di protezioni specifiche per cavidotti e plafoniere. ntazione antifuoco permette di ridurre i danni da incendio confinando lo stesso in aree ridotte, salvaguardando così le vie di fuga per gli occupanti dell'edificio. I principali prodotti AF Systems dispongono di certificazione: REI 120 (solaio, parete in CLS e cartongesso) e REI 180 (solaio e parete). Per la maggior parte dei prodotti sono anche già disponibili, sia a parete che a solaio, le certificazioni EI secondo le nuove vigenti normative europee UNI-EN. Oltre 20 certificazioni composite e integrate per un totale di oltre 120 applicazioni certificate sono in grado di coprire in modo specifico le tipologie relative ai casi più comuni e tecnologicamente rilevanti che vengono incontrati nei lavori di compartimentazione. AF Systems fornisce i prodotti e all'occorrenza dispone di propria mano d'opera specializzata per la loro messa in opera secondo le specifiche di progetto. A completamento della propria gamma, AF Systems commercializza vernici intumescenti, coppelle per tiranti metallici, lastre in calcio silicato.

Installation must always comply with the conditions set out in the tests and technical documentation: orientation, sealing depth, number of bags and any required framing may vary from one system to another.
Thanks to its combination of ablative and intumescent components, AF BAGS is certified with its 120 mm short side positioned along the sealing depth, optimising the number of bags required.
Moreover, in the tested configurations, it does not require additional framing or the application of sealants to the cable tray.

A compliant installation is not necessarily the one that appears simpler or more cost-effective, but the one that reflects the tested conditions.
Before installation, always check the classification reports and ETA.

Heatwaves are not necessarily a direct cause of fires inside buildings, but they can contribute to more critical operating conditions: increased use of air-conditioning systems, higher electrical loads, equipment overheating, the presence of drier materials – such as green façades – and maintenance activities carried out in more challenging environmental conditions.

However, the issue is not limited to preventing ignition.

In the event of a fire, the continuity of fire compartmentation can determine the building’s ability to contain the incident, protect unaffected areas and limit the impact on business continuity.
Modified service penetrations, new installations, firestop seals that have not been properly reinstated, or solutions that do not match the actual configuration can become vulnerable points.
In our new article, we explore the role of passive fire protection in managing fire risk and protecting corporate assets.

To ensure a compliant installation, it is essential to check the relevant test reports and ETA documentation, rather than relying on established habits or unverified instructions.
