🇺🇸🇮🇹 United in remembrance.

Today, U.S. Consul General in Naples Terrence Flynn, Pompei Mayor Giuseppe Tortora and Capt. Benjamin Foster, commanding officer of U.S. Naval Support Activity Naples, joined U.S. and Italian civilian, military and religious leaders for the City of Pompei’s commemoration marking the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001.

At Pompei’s Sept. 11 memorial, Foster participated in a wreath-laying ceremony and delivered remarks honoring those affected by the events of Sept. 11. The memorial incorporates a fragment of a structural beam from the World Trade Center, serving as a lasting connection between Pompei and the United States.

The annual commemoration brings our communities together in remembrance and reflects the enduring friendship between the American and Italian people.

We remember. Together. Grazie, Pompei.

Community Update: Annual Fire Protection System Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI)

From September 17 through September 24, 2026, mandatory annual Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on fire protection systems will be conducted across designated Naval Support Activity (NSA) Naples Support Site housing units. Mirabella technicians, accompanied and escorted by a designated NSA Naples Housing representative, will briefly access affected residences to verify and test wall-mounted strobe light functionality.

The next Career Development Symposium will be hosted across three installations in Navy Region Europe, Sept. 18-23! NSA Souda Bay, U.S. Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy, Naval Station Rota, Spain

🇬🇷 CDS kicks off at NSA Souda Bay on Sept. 18th with an all-hands call with MyNavy HR leadership followed by a BBA policy discussion and concluding with an all-khaki call.

🇮🇹 NSA Naples hosts the second day of the symposium on Sept. 21st with a full day event that includes an all-hands call, MyNavy HR Tradeshow, and training briefs.

🇪🇸 NAVSTA Rota closes out the event on Sept. 23rd with another full day symposium with an all-hands call, training briefs and a MyNavy HR Tradeshow with PACT Sailor opportunities to strike a rate!

At CDS, subject matter experts are available at the MyNavy HR Tradeshow and training briefs to talk to Sailors about career opportunities, special programs, and policies such as Billet Based Advancement, Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Navy College Program – to list a few.
