The Pirates’Cave – la “Grotta dei Pirati” – è un' autentica osteria di mare che si trova nella selvaggia Baia del Buondormire. Rocce a strapiombo che si affacciano su un mare dall’acqua cristallina, turchese, sempre calma, fanno di questo posto un luogo incantato, un vero e proprio rifugio dal mare aperto e dalle correnti di Capo Palinuro. In un passato non molto lontano, la piccola “Grotta dei P
irati” veniva utilizzata dai pescatori locali per custodire i viveri e le reti da pesca, all’epoca praticata esclusivamente a vela e a remi. The Pirates’ Cave offre l’opportunità di vivere una serata suggestiva, immersi negli intensi odori della macchia Mediterranea circostante e cullati dal solo rumore delle onde del mare. A rendere ancora più speciale questa esperienza vi attenderà una cucina di mare semplice ma autentica, con piatti preparati a vista dai Pirati chef. La clientela potrà scegliere tra due tipologie di serate:
- “AUTENTICA”, per coppie o piccoli gruppi di amici: menu scelto dai Pirati (a seconda del pescato del giorno) con piatti tipici cucinati a vista e boccali di vino.
- “ESCLUSIVA”, per eventi su prenotazione: intera area a completa disposizione con allestimenti dedicati e musica dal vivo, menu degustazione dei Pirati con eccellenze del mare e selezione di vini (vengono soddisfatte richieste particolari) - il tutto in assoluta privacy. Per godersi al meglio la serata sarà necessario abbandonarsi alla “Regola dei Pirati”:

L’esperienza avrà inizio con un aperitivo al tramonto, sull’imbarcazione dei Pirati che salperà dal porto di Palinuro alle 20.00. In alternativa, il Pirata “mozzo” vi preleverà alla vostra imbarcazione ormeggiata in rada e vi accoglierà per un aperitivo sulla spiaggia. Di seguito alcuni pratici consigli:

The Pirates’Cave is an authentic restaurant located in the wild Baia del Buondormire. Cliffs overhanging on crystal-clear, turquoise, always calm waters make of this place a magic location, a real idyllic shelter from the flowing waters of Palinuro’s Cape. Not long ago, local fisher men used to take advantage of the small original cave to safeguard food and fishing nets. The Pirates’Cave gives you the opportunity to live a breath-taking, romantic night surrounded by the intense Mediterranean scents and delighted by the sound of sea weaves. To make this experience even more unforgettable, a simple but authentic cooking prepared on sight by Pirates cooks is served just few meters away from the sea. The restaurant is proposing two types of services:
- “AUTHENTIC”, for couples or small groups of friends: Pirates’ menu selection (depending on the fish of the day) with typical dishes cooked on sight and wine.
- “EXCLUSIVE”, for events on request: reservation of the whole area with dedicated setting and live music, Pirates’ tasting menu with sea delicacies and selection of wines (specific requests can be satisfied) – all in extreme privacy. In order to enjoy at best the evening, you will need to abide to the “Pirates’ Rule”:

The experience will begin at sunset with an aperitif, served on the Pirates’ boat, sailing from the harbor of Palinuro at 8.00pm. Alternatively, a young Pirate will take you directly from your boat, anchored in front of the Cave, and welcome you with an aperitif on the seaside. Hereby some useful tips:
the whole event takes place on the seaside, it is very nice to stand barefoot on sand
it is preferable to wear confortable clothes to relax the most – Pirates will welcome you with their traditional clothes! limit the usage of smartphones to capture wonderful pictures
