Biodiversity, food and nutrition are deeply interconnected. Yet, young people worldwide continue to witness the loss of biodiversity, declining dietary diversity and growing pressure on agrifood systems.

Through a global consultation led by the World Food Forum Youth Assembly and FAO, more than 600 young people from 96 countries shared their perspectives, priorities and solutions for advancing biodiversity fo r food and nutrition.

This policy brief contributes to the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity's Initiative on Biodiversity for Food and Nutrition and supports action under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.

🍯 Today, 20 May, is the World Bee Day.

In Trentino, Italy, two young women beekeepers are carrying on the tradition with their young perspectives. 
Saving bees is preserving biodiversity and agriculture and safeguarding the future of agrifood systems. 
Their story highlights the importance of empowering women farmers and protecting pollinators.
