If you want to get away from the city, go to the “Valle dei cani,” pick a tree and climb a branch. I did that when I was a kid, I used to read there. For me, the “Valley of the Dogs” is still the tree I climb, the beating heart of the Villa; but there are several beating hearts imbued with energy and history in Villa Borghese. There you can come across a space that reveals presences or an “intruder” who, seemingly, spoils the harmony of a landscape.Then there are the pines, the sentinels, the witnesses of the Villa, taking the voice from the wind and coloring themselves with many shades.
