【溫暖相聚，攜手向前：本館與天主教母佑會餐敘交流💕】

本館賀大使夫婦應天主教母佑會（Istituto Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice, FMA）總會長Sr. Chiara Cazzuola 修女之邀，於近日偕王秘書語薇赴該修會羅馬總會院午餐敘，該修會美國籍 Sr. Phyllis Neves修女、哥倫比亞籍 Sr. Ruth del Pilar Mora 修女及菲律賓籍 Sr. Pamela Vecina修女共同出席。

許許多多天主教會的修女們在世界各地長期投入教育、青年培育及社會服務等工作，她們溫暖陪伴弱勢族群、默默付出的身影令人動容💗。

母佑會成立於1872年，服務遍及世界各地，在台設立據點也已逾70年。本（2026）年5月天主教聖母月✝️，本館曾代表台灣政府捐助母佑會所屬 Santa Cecilia 中途之家電腦設備及培訓資源，協助弱勢少女學生提升數位能力，也向長期陪伴她們成長的修女們表達感謝🌹（敬請參考：https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DWKAYn5vf/?mibextid=wwXIfr） 。

【Warm Gathering for a Shared Mission: The Embassy Visits the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco💕】

Ambassador and Madam Anthony C.Y. Ho, accompanied by Secretary Wei Wang, recently attended a lunch hosted by Sr. Chiara Cazzuola, Mother General of the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco (FMA), at the Congregation’s Mother House in Rome. They were joined by Sr. Phyllis Neves (USA), Sr. Ruth del Pilar Mora (Colombia), and Sr. Pamela Vecina (Philippines).

Catholic sisters around the world have long dedicated themselves to education, youth development, and social services, quietly making a profound impact on the lives of the vulnerable💗.

Founded in 1872, the Salesian Sisters serve globally and have been active in Taiwan for over 70 years. In May 2026, during the Marian Month✝️, the Embassy represented the Taiwanese government in donating computer equipment and training resources to Santa Cecilia, an institute managed by the Sisters. During the gathering, both sides engaged in a meaningful exchange on faith and humanitarian work. ～本館拜會天主教靈醫會總會院～

本館賀大使忠義夫婦偕王秘書語薇近日赴天主教靈醫會羅馬總會院，拜會巴西籍總會長Fr. Pedro Tramontin神父及義大利籍副總會長Fr. Gianfranco Lunardon神父，雙方就弱勢照護及人道合作等議題深入交流🤝。

賀大使表示，靈醫會神父數十年來深耕台灣，創設羅東聖母醫院及澎湖惠民醫院等重要醫療機構，他們在台灣無私投入偏鄉醫療、社會服務及教育的奉獻精神，與台灣人民建立溫暖而深厚的情誼，令人感佩💕。T總會長分享，曾兩度訪問台灣，對靈醫會在台服務成果及台灣人民的熱情與愛心留下深刻印象✨；近年該修會亦持續深耕非洲及亞洲，投入醫療照護及人道服務，雙方期盼未來攜手合作，以愛為橋，連結四方，讓善的循環成就更多希望🌍。

T總會長及L副總會長當日亦引導賀大使夫婦參訪靈醫會總會院及會祖聖嘉民（St. Camillus de Lellis）安息之「抹大拉聖瑪利亞堂」（Church of St. Mary Magdalene），並一同在珍藏於總會院的聖嘉民聖髑前，共同為台灣及世界和平祈禱🕯️。

【📍 Love as the Bridge Connecting the World, Cycles of Goodness as the Path to Greater Hope❤️‍🩹】

Ambassador Anthony C. Y. Ho and Madam Ho accompanied by Secretary Wei Wang, visited the Camillians’ General House in Rome and met with Fr. Pedro Tramontin, Superior General of the Camillians, and Fr. Gianfranco Lunardon, Vicar General. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on caring for vulnerable communities and humanitarian cooperation🤝.

Ambassador Ho expressed his appreciation for the decades of dedicated service by Camillians in Taiwan. Through institutions such as Camillian Saint Mary’s Hospital Luodong and St. Camillus Hospital in Penghu, the Camillians have devoted themselves to rural healthcare, social services, and education in Taiwan. Their selfless commitment has fostered a warm and enduring friendship with the people of Taiwan, for which Taiwan remains deeply grateful💕. Fr. Pedro shared his fond memories of visiting Taiwan twice and noted his deep impression of the Camillians’ achievements in Taiwan, as well as the warmth and kindness of the Taiwanese people✨. He also introduced the Camillians’ continued efforts in Africa and Asia in providing healthcare and humanitarian services.
Both sides expressed their willingness to work together in the future. With love as the bridge connecting people across the world, cycles of goodness can be fostered creating ever greater hope🌍.

Fr. Pedro and Fr. Gianfranco also guided Ambassador and Madam Ho on a tour of the Camillians’ General House and the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, where St. Camillus de Lellis rests. Together, they prayed before the relic of St. Camillus de Lellis preserved at the General House for the peace of Taiwan and the world🕯️.

【📍台灣與「天主教婦女組織世界聯盟」攜手推動非洲婦女數位賦權計畫👩‍💻】

本館賀大使忠義偕李參事嘉維及王秘書語薇於近日在「天主教婦女組織世界聯盟」（World Union of Catholic Women’s Organisations, WUCWO）羅馬總部，代表台灣政府贊助該組織推動「非洲婦女數位賦權計畫」。WUCWO在全球56國有逾800萬名會員，本計畫旨在提升該組織在肯亞、迦納、坦尚尼亞、馬拉威及烏干達 5 國，協助他們在基層推廣防治性別暴力及婦女賦權等工作💪。

會議由WUCWO 秘書長Lavinia Rocchi Carrera主持，該聯盟主席墨西哥籍之Mónica Santamarina，及該賦權計畫主任阿根廷籍之Ana Martiarena分別在墨西哥及阿根廷線上參與，羅馬總部幹部及成員多人出席；我 Taiwan in Somaliland 駐索馬利蘭羅大使震華、Taiwan in Nigeria 駐奈及利亞代表處許秘書中維 、Taiwan in South Africa 駐南非代表處温秘書庭逸，以及多位WUCWO非洲女性領袖代表在非洲同步視訊見證觀禮並分享感言💕。

【📍Taiwan and WUCWO Join Hands to Advance Digital Empowerment for Women in Africa👩‍💻】

Recently, Ambassador Anthony C.Y. Ho, accompanied by Counselor David Li and Secretary Wei Wang, visited the Rome headquarters of the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organisations (WUCWO) to present the Taiwanese government's donation in support of the "Digital Empowerment of Women Leaders and Catholic Networks in Africa" project.

With more than 8 million members across 56 countries worldwide, WUCWO will use this project to strengthen the digital skills of 50 focal points across five African nations, including Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Malawi, and Uganda, enabling them to expand grassroots efforts to combat gender-based violence and promote women’s empowerment💪.

The ceremony was presided over by WUCWO Secretary General Lavinia Rocchi Carrera, while President General Mónica Santamarina and Project Director Ana Martiarena joined virtually from Mexico and Argentina, respectively. WUCWO leaders and staff in Rome were also present. Joining online from Africa were Ambassador Allen C. Lou of the Taiwan Representative Office in Somaliland, Secretary Aaron Hsu of the Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria, Secretary Tim Wen of the Taipei Liaison Office in the Republic of South Africa, alongside several WUCWO African women leaders who witnessed the ceremony and shared inspiring testimonies💕.

In his remarks, Ambassador Ho noted that Taiwan’s support, provided through digital equipment and resources🖥️, will help WUCWO strengthen community outreach within Catholic networks, expand educational opportunities for women, and address gender-based violence. Guided by President Lai Ching-te’s vision of "Values-based Diplomacy" and Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung’s "Diplomatic Allies Prosperity Project", Taiwan works with WUCWO to put the spirit of "Taiwan Can Help" into action. 本館賀大使忠義夫婦偕王秘書語薇近日訪問義大利北部 #米蘭總教區 外，也訪問了另一天主教重要教區 #杜林總教區✝️。

賀大使乙行前往發源自杜林的 #聖母神慰傳教修女會（Consolata Missionary Sisters）會院，拜會總會長Sr. Lucia Bortolomasi修女，賀大使分享幼時在堂區教堂參加道理班時，和堂內修女的濃厚情誼及美好回憶，Sr. Lucia 聽聞至為愉快開心；賀大使也代表我國政府分享來自台灣的愛心，參與及支持該修會致力的關懷弱勢服務工作💕，攜手為促進社會福祉貢獻心力。

此外，賀大使乙行也與曾在台灣新竹教區服務的「聖母神慰傳教會」（Consolata Missionaries）Fr. Piero Damaria神父一起拜訪杜林具代表性的聖母朝聖地 #聖母神慰朝聖所（Sanctuary of the Consolata)，並拜訪存放天主教重要聖物✨ #耶穌聖殮布 （Holy Shroud）✨的 #杜林主教座堂，賀大使夫婦及Fr. Piero神父也特別在耶穌聖殮布前，誦念中文天主經、聖母經及聖三光榮經，並為台灣及世界和平祈禱🙏🏻。

📍An Encounter Between Taiwan and the Archdiocese of Turin

Following their visit to the , Ambassador Anthony C.Y. Ho and Madam Ho, accompanied by Secretary Wei Wang, recently visited another important Catholic diocese in northern Italy, the ✝️.

During the visit, Ambassador Ho, Madam Ho, and Secretary Wang visited the House of the , where they were warmly received by Superior General Sr. Lucia Bortolomasi. Ambassador Ho shared his childhood experience of attending Bible school and the close bond he developed with the sisters at his parish, which brought great joy to Sr. Lucia. On behalf of the Government of Taiwan, Ambassador Ho also conveyed the goodwill and generosity of the Taiwanese people by supporting the Congregation’s mission of caring for the poor and the vulnerable💕 and reaffirming Taiwan’s commitment to promoting human dignity and social well-being.

In addition, Ambassador Ho, Madam Ho, and Secretary Wang met with Fr. Piero Damaria of the , who previously served in the Diocese of Hsinchu, Taiwan. Together, they visited the , one of Turin’s most important Marian shrines, as well as , home to the revered ✨. Before the Holy Shroud, Ambassador and Madam Ho joined Fr. 本館賀大使忠義夫婦偕王秘書語薇近日訪問義大利北部 #米蘭總教區，拜會米蘭總教區Arch. Mario Enrico Delpini總主教，並參訪 #米蘭主教座堂⛪️；米蘭總教區是義大利歷史悠久且具重要影響力的天主教教區，約有550萬名教友。賀大使與D總主教分享台灣社會充滿愛心，天主教會在社會福利、醫療及教育等領域均有重要貢獻✨，也分享台灣各宗教和諧共融合作，可為世界之典範；雙方也就未來交流合作交換意見，賀大使並代表我國政府分享來自台灣的愛心，參與支持米蘭總教區關懷弱勢族群的計畫🤝。

Ambassador Anthony C.Y. Ho and Madam Ho, accompanied by Secretary Wei Wang, recently visited the in northern Italy. During the visit, they met with Archbishop Mario Enrico Delpini and toured the iconic ⛪️.

The Archdiocese of Milan is one of the most important Catholic dioceses, with a long and distinguished history, serving approximately 5.5 million Catholics. Ambassador Ho shared that Taiwan is a caring society and highlighted the Catholic Church’s significant contributions to social welfare, healthcare, and education✨. He also noted that Taiwan’s various religious communities enjoy harmonious relations and work closely together, offering an inspiring example of interreligious cooperation for the world.

The two sides also exchanged views on future cooperation and exchanges. On behalf of the Government of Taiwan, Ambassador Ho conveyed the goodwill and generosity of the Taiwanese people by supporting the Archdiocese of Milan’s initiatives to care for vulnerable communities🤝.

In addition, Ambassador Ho, together with Madam Ho and Secretary Wang, visited the General House of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions , where they met with Fr. Francesco Rapacioli, Superior General, and Fr. Daniele Mazza, Vicar General. They also toured the P.I.M.E. 【⭐️本館賀大使夫婦出席教宗良十四世主禮之「聖伯多祿與聖保祿主保日」瞻禮彌撒⭐️】

本館賀大使忠義夫婦偕郭秘書倢妤於本（2026）年6月29日上午出席教宗良十四世（Pope Leo XIV)在聖伯多祿大殿主禮之✨「聖伯多祿與聖保祿主保日瞻禮彌撒」（Solennità dei Santi Pietro e Paolo Apostoli）✨。

教宗在彌撒講道中，勉勵信友以羅馬兩位主保聖人—聖伯多祿與聖保祿—為榜樣，繼表示兩位宗徒雖都曾有軟弱與過失，卻因真誠悔改、回應天主的聖召，最終成為福音的非凡見證人及教會共融的基石。教宗並強調，天主是生命的中心，我們須在愛德中促進合一、忠於真理、彼此服務🥰🤝。

教宗並在感恩祭典中為30多位教省總主教授予羊毛肩帶，期許他們效法耶穌，成為弟兄姊妹將自己託付給他們的善牧，奉獻時間、精力、甚至生命，使福音廣為宣揚、促進教會共融及世界和平🌏🕊️。最後，教宗祈求聖伯多祿與聖保祿扶持教會，在追隨基督的共融旅程中堅定前行💗。

On June 29, 2026, Ambassador Anthony C. Y. Ho and Madam Ho, accompanied by Secretary Carrie Kuo, attended the ✨Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul✨, celebrated by Pope Leo XIV at the St. Peter’s Basilica.

In his homily, the Pope encouraged the faithful to take inspiration from the two Patron Saints of Rome—Saint Peter and Saint Paul. He noted that although both Apostles experienced moments of weakness and failure, their sincere repentance and faithful response to God's call transformed them into extraordinary witnesses to the Gospel and enduring pillars of the Church's unity. The Holy Father emphasized that God must remain at the center of our lives, calling all Christians to foster unity in charity, remain faithful to the truth, and serve one another with love🥰🤝.

During the Mass, the Holy Father bestowed the pallium upon more than 30 newly appointed Archbishops, encouraging them to imitate Jesus and become Good Shepherds to the brothers and sisters entrusted to their care, by dedicating their time, strength, and even their lives, so that the Gospel may be proclaimed to all, the communion of the Church may be strengthened, and peace may flourish throughout the world🕊️🌏. The Pope concluded by praying that Saint Peter and Saint Paul would continue to sustain the Church on its journey of communion in following Christ💗.

【本館與「願祢受讚頌運動」（Laudato Si’ Movement, LSM）交流對話🌱】

本館賀大使忠義夫婦偕王秘書語薇，於本（6）月24日與天主教生態倡議組織 #願祢受讚頌運動（Laudato Si’ Movement, LSM）Laudato Si Movement執行長Dr. Lorna Gold博士午餐敘，雙方就環境永續議題及台灣科技參與全球生態永續議題交換意見🌲。

賀大使說明我國高度重視全球氣候治理與永續發展，持續推動國內減碳與環保政策，並於許多平台與機制與國際社會分享運用台灣科技因應氣候變遷的相關經驗。Dr. Gold博士介紹了LSM推動天主教會在生態環保議題轉型成果，並分享✨教宗良十四世（Pope Leo XIV）✨去（2025）年親自出席該組織為紀念先教宗方濟各（Pope Francis）《願祢受讚頌》通諭發表十週年，與教廷合辦的 #為氣候正義提升希望（Raising Hope for Climate Justice）國際會議相關情形。

特別的是，LSM會議所強調的「Hope」，與本館積極推動的「H.O.P.E.」人道援助架構完全契合💛。期盼在這份共同的「希望」引領下，未來雙方持續深化交流、拓展合作，攜手為全球永續發展貢獻力量🌍！

【Embassy of R.O.C. (Taiwan) to the Holy See Engages in Dialogue with the Laudato Si’ Movement on Environmental Sustainability 🌱】

Ambassador Anthony C.Y. Ho and Madam Ho, accompanied by Secretary Wei Wang, held a lunch meeting on June 24 with Dr. Lorna Gold, Executive Director of the (LSM), to exchange views on environmental sustainability and Taiwan’s contributions to global ecological sustainability through technology🌲.

Ambassador Ho highlighted Taiwan’s strong commitment to global climate governance and sustainable development, noting the government’s ongoing efforts to advance carbon reduction and environmental protection policies. He also shared Taiwan’s experience in leveraging technology to address climate change and its efforts to engage with the international community through various platforms and cooperation mechanisms.

Dr. Gold introduced LSM’s achievements in promoting ecological conversion within the Catholic Church and shared insights from the international conference, co-organized by LSM and the Holy See in 2025 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’. The conference was attended by ✨Pope Leo XIV✨ and brought together voices from around the world to advance climate justice and ecological action.

本館賀大使忠義偕郭秘書倢妤及王秘書語薇於本（2026）年6月22日赴天主教⭐️「聖奧斯定會」( )⭐️羅馬總會院，代表台灣政府捐贈電腦及太陽能發電系統予「世界奧斯定會基金會」(Fondazione Agostiniani Nel Mondo)，在肯亞及剛果(金)的教育中心設立「台灣數位教室🇹🇼🖥️」(Taiwan Digital Classroom)，總會長Fr. Joseph Farrell神父代表受贈，副總會長Fr. Alexander Lam神父、執行主任Maurizio Misitano等在場觀禮。

賀大使表示，深感榮幸代表台灣政府與「聖奧斯定會」合作，在非洲—聖奧斯定的故鄉—推動人道援助工作，支持肯亞及剛果(金)的身心障礙兒童及在戰爭創傷中復原的青年，為他們創造未來的機會，此也是響應✨教宗良十四世( )✨呼籲，科技應為服務人類的共同福祉，開啟教育的契機、連結社區、並為下一代創造新的可能性🥰。

F總會長誠摯感謝台灣政府的協助，並表示教宗頒布的首部通諭✨「偉大的人類」(Magnifica humanitas)✨內容中也強調，科技發展必須考量不同地區及國家之間的「知識平衡」，即使只是一台電腦，也可為弱小弟兄姐妹及社會帶來改變，並肯定台灣積極在世界各地推動人道援助的善行💗，也盼未來持續合作🤝🌏。

【❤️Taiwan and the Order of Saint Augustine Collaborate to Advance Humanitarian Assistance in Africa❤️ 】

On June 22, 2026, Ambassador Anthony C. Y. Ho， accompanied by Secretary Carrie Kuo and Secretary Wei Wang, visited the General Curia of the ⭐️Order of Saint Augustine⭐️ in Rome on behalf of the Taiwan government to donate computers and solar power generation systems to the Fondazione Agostiniani Nel Mondo. The donation will support the establishment of Taiwan Digital Classrooms 🇹🇼🖥️at educational centers in Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The donation was received by Prior General Fr. Joseph Farrell, with the presence of Vicar General Fr. Alexander Lam and Executive Director Maurizio Misitano at the ceremony.

In the ceremony, Ambassador Ho stated that he was deeply honored to represent the Taiwan government in partnering with the Order of Saint Augustine to advance humanitarian assistance efforts in Africa—the homeland of Saint Augustine. Through this initiative, Taiwan seeks to support children with disabilities and young people recovering from the trauma of war in Kenya and the DRC, creating opportunities for them to look toward the future with hope. He added that the initiative also responds to ✨Pope Leo XIV✨’s call for technology to serve the common good of humanity by creating new educational opportunities, strengthening community connections, and leading to new possibilities for future generations🥰.

Prior General Fr. Farrell expressed his sincere gratitude to the government of Taiwan for its generous support. He noted that the Pope’s first encyclical, ✨Magnifica Humanitas✨, emphasizes the importance of considering the “balance of knowledge” among different regions and countries in technological development. Even one computer can make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable brothers and sisters and in the whole society. He also acknowledged Taiwan’s contributions in promoting humanitarian assistance around the world 💗and looked forward to continued cooperation in the future🤝🌏.
