FRIENDS OF TODI: GRAZIE!
L'accresciuta notorietà di Todi a livello internazionale è sempre più merito dei cittadini che, da tutto il mondo, hanno scelto la città quale luogo del cuore.
E' anche il caso Debora e Vin Rosa, coppia di italoamericani di seconda generazione che vivono tra il Connecticut e Todi, in Umbria, da oltre trent'anni.
Durante il viaggio di nozze, trent'anni fa, si fermarono a Todi da un amico fotografo di moda newyorchese, Jerry Salvati, che aveva comprato una proprietà fuori dal centro storico.
Da lì nacque un amore profondo per la città. All'inizio erano stranieri. Col tempo hanno costruito amicizie vere.
Hanno persino creato un gruppo Facebook, Friends of Todi, con oltre 2.000 membri, per aiutare residenti e visitatori anglofoni.
Descrivono Todi come un luogo lento, umano, comunitario. I negozianti ricordano il tuo nome. Gli anziani si ritrovano al caffè. Le famiglie vivono a pochi passi l'una dall'altra.
La loro storia e il loro amore per Todi è ora oggetto di un ampio servizio fotografico di "Stamford City Life", magazine diffuso nel Connecticut.

FRIENDS OF TODI: THANK YOU!
Todi’s growing international reputation is increasingly down to the people from all over the world who have chosen the town as their favourite place.
This is certainly true of Debora and Vin Rosa, a second-generation Italian-American couple who have been dividing their time between Connecticut and Todi, in Umbria, for over thirty years.
During their honeymoon thirty years ago, they stayed in Todi with a friend, Jerry Salvati, a New York-based fashion photographer who had bought a property just outside the historic centre.
From that moment, a deep love for the town was born. At first, they were outsiders. Over time, they have built genuine friendships.
They have even set up a Facebook group, ‘Friends of Todi’, with over 2,000 members, to help English-speaking residents and visitors.
They describe Todi as a slow-paced, people-centred, community-oriented place. Shopkeepers remember your name. The elderly gather at the café. Families live just a stone’s throw away from one another.
Their story and their love for Todi are now the subject of an extensive photo feature in *Stamford City Life*, a magazine published in Connecticut.
