Preparing today to be ready for tomorrow.

Through Operation Lignite Coast 2026, Togo's National Civil Protection Agency (ANPC-TOGO) conducted a three-day field exercise with North Dakota National Guard members, civilian emergency-response professionals, and civil affairs assigned to U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa to strengthen disaster preparedness, sharpen incident response and save lives.

Beyond the exercise, this enduring 12-year relationship through the continues to build trust, exchange expertise and improve readiness across borders. From realistic field scenarios to humanitarian support for the local community, every engagement reinforced a shared commitment to protecting people in times of crisis.
