No left into Stopford Rd after you pass the Coop (except for access) it will save yourself and others from sitting in traffic delays if you plan another route.

Our team is dealing with an emergency roadwork issue at Stopford Road. We're aware this is causing delays to traffic and the team is working quickly to try and resolve this - however it is expected to continue past 6pm tonight.

The issue is believed to be caused by some voids under the road surface caused by the natural strata falling away.

Diversions are currently in place, please avoid the area if possible.

Going to Vote?

Be considerate of others, and residents, near Polling Stations.

If you can’t walk then park carefully and legally. At many Polling Stations the Honorary Police will be there all day to keep the roads moving safely.

It’s a long day, please be nice to us, even say hello, we are there to help make voting as easy as possible to get to.

St Saviour is also interested in any who is willing and able to serve the Parish

Whilst it’s Volunteering Week (1st–7th June), Honorary Policing is not your normal volunteering role.

🚔 Could you serve your community as part of the Honorary Police? 🚔

The Honorary Police is a voluntary policing service that has been at the heart of Jersey life for centuries, providing an essential and valuable service to our Parish and community.

Our officers come from all walks of life. Many work full-time, raise families and still dedicate their time to helping keep our community safe. As an Honorary Police Officer, you could be involved in:

👮 Foot and mobile patrols
🚗 Road and speed checks
🏘️ Parish Hall Enquiries
🔍 Searches for missing persons
🎉 Policing community and major events
🤝 Working alongside colleagues from the States of Jersey Police

We are always on the lookout for people who want to make a difference and give something back to the Parish.

Why join?

✅ Develop new skills and gain valuable experience
✅ Improve problem-solving, decision-making and leadership abilities
✅ Build confidence and learn through practical training
✅ Gain skills that are transferable to your workplace and career
✅ Support and protect your local community
✅ Be part of a respected team with a long tradition of service

Serving in the Honorary Police is one of the most varied and rewarding voluntary roles available in Jersey. Every duty is different, every shift brings new experiences, and every officer plays an important part in helping others when they need it most.

If you are interested in learning more about joining the St Helier Honorary Police, please contact the Parish Hall for further information.

Your Parish needs you. 🚔
