Parish Hall to Trial Later Opening Hours

The Parish of St Saviour will introduce a temporary trial of later opening hours at the Parish Hall from September to November 2026. For the duration of the trial, the Parish Hall will be open to the public from 12.00 noon to 7.00 pm every Wednesday.
The first later-opening session will take place on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, with the final session on Wednesday, 25 November 2026.
Unless otherwise advised, the Parish Hall will return to its normal opening hours from 1 December 2026.
Opening hours on all other weekdays will remain unchanged: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8.45 am to 3.45 pm
Purpose of the Trial
The purpose of the trial is to assess whether access to Parish services later in the day provides a meaningful benefit to parishioners, customers and local businesses who may find it difficult to visit during normal daytime opening hours.
Wednesday has been selected as the trial day to measure demand consistently and in a manageable way. No decision has been made that Wednesday would be the preferred day for any future permanent arrangement.
The Connétable said: “We want to understand whether later access to Parish services would be genuinely useful to our community. This trial will allow us to assess demand and establish whether later opening provides a meaningful benefit to parishioners, customers and local businesses.”
Please note this is a temporary arrangement. No decision has been made to introduce later opening hours permanently, and no future day or pattern of opening has been agreed.
The results of the trial will be reviewed after the final session. Should any longer-term change be proposed, the Parish will consult with parishioners before making a decision.
Please note that all remaining services remain unchanged at this time.
