Our Summer School has got off to a flying start this week. The children have been really engaged during morning lessons and have turned creative during the afternoons. Water colour painting, collage, computer programming, design challenges and even a running club!

Last week, we were delighted to attend the grand opening of the new sign at the Recycling Centre. Margot, from Year 1 won the design competition for the letter Y and was at the opening to see her fantastic design. It looks great and we are very proud of Margot.

Breaking News:
It has been confirmed that we are an Oracy Centre of Excellence. Our school development over the last 3 years has been ratified and we now have the confirmed status. Huge congratulations to all the children and staff, especially Miss Sampson and Mrs Crocker who led the project.

Y4 enjoyed a yummy lunch at the beach and the children are now enjoying playing in the sand 🏖️

A wonderful evening! Not only did we enjoy another scrumptious meal, made by Mrs Le Geyt, we enjoyed many fantastic dancing performances, in the Y4 Crabbe dance contest. A brilliant night had by all on our final night. Such fun!

A brilliant day with John and Sean from JYS! The class had a great time at overcoming their fears, by all completing the ‘Leap of Faith’. They z on also had a great morning of making their own dens, in which they had to use their Oracy skills to communicate effectively to make the best dens possible in teams, which had to be waterproof. They also learnt how to use different knots and how to apply these skills to their dens. We also had a very interesting nature walk and discussed the importance of appreciating nature around us and how it can help with our mindfulness. X
