Join us on Tuesday 11 August at 10.30am for a magical library storytime featuring Mr. Martie’s Marvellous Melodies, an enchanting children’s book brought to life through a fun live musical performance with book reading and interactive sing-along!

Mr Martie (Martyn Cast) is the owner of JENCA Music Rockschool and a guitar tutor who's passionate about sharing the joy of music, especially with his guitar songbook that focuses on fun, original songs with clear instructions and colourful illustrations!

If you haven't started your Summer Reading Challenge yet, don't worry! There is still plenty of time, so pop into Jersey Library in town, Communicare Library in St Brelade, or the Mobile Library that stops around the island, to pick up your pack.

Read 6 books about anything you want - stories, facts, graphic novels, comics, audiobooks, ebooks, books in different languages (not just English!) - and tell us about them to get your stickers and prizes!

The Summer Reading Challenge continues until Saturday 19th September. We're so excited to hear about what you have been reading!

Jersey Shell Detectives
Discover the shells of Jersey’s beaches!

Join local author and artist Jo Logue on Thursday 30 July at 2:30pm for a fun, hands-on introduction to the wonderful shells of Jersey. Discover where to find them, learn how to identify some of our most common ones, and explore a collection of real shells up close. Children will become “Jersey Shell Detectives” with a fun shell identification activity inspired by Jo’s book Shells of Jersey. A relaxed and interactive session for children aged 5+ and their families.
