On World Refugee Day and every day, Canada shows solidarity with refugees and other displaced people worldwide. We continue to be a leading example in refugee resettlement by offering more ways for them to find safety here. This includes committing to
• establishing new multi-year resettlement commitments for 2024–2026
• funding various capacity-building projects in the Americas and working with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency
• making Canada’s refugee labour mobility pathway a permanent economic immigration program by 2025

Banking on a better future!

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is enabling the region’s progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals with innovative and impactful initiatives.

Through the Special Development Fund (SDF), the CDB has empowered education in Belize, enhanced waste management in Grenada, boosted agriculture in Haiti and driven sustainable development across the islands.

Working alongside global partners like Canada, the CDB maximizes the impact of every initiative, focusing on climate resilience, environmental sustainability and regional cooperation to ensure that the region is better prepared for any obstacles ahead.

But that’s not all! The SDF is championing gender equality, good governance and sustainable energy solutions, securing a brighter, inclusive future for all.

Share this post to celebrate a resilient, thriving Caribbean where every community can flourish.

Together, we are making waves of positive change!
