: JACRA is actively working to support farmers across the island in strengthening the fight against rhizome rot. In a joint effort with Newport-Fersan Jamaica and H&L Agro, JACRA conducted a Ginger Training to equip farmers with the knowledge needed to protect their ginger crops and promote long-term sustainability. Each farmer also received key agricultural inputs to support their farming activities.

Safeguarding the spices industry remains a top priority for JACRA as we work to drive sustainable growth within the sector.

In April, the JACRA team conducted a farm visit in Fyffes Pen, St. Elizabeth where we provided pimento farmer Dr. Lyndon Johnson with technical information and support via vital agricultural inputs including fertilizers, fungicides, and bio-stimulants.

JACRA’s commitment continues to reach farmers across the island as we bring essential support aimed at strengthening the resilience and productivity of the agricultural sector.
