Creating safer spaces for our children requires collective action, continued awareness and a commitment to ending bullying.

Richard Troupe, Director of Safety and Security at the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information reflects on some of the key activities held during National Anti-Bullying Week and emphasizes the importance of protecting our children and fostering safe, supportive learning environments.

As the campaign continues, we're encouraging students, parents, educators and communities across Jamaica to play their part in promoting kindness, respect and a culture where bullying has no place.

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued and heard.

On Wednesday, October 7, the National Anti-Bullying Day Forum brought together students, educators, stakeholders and advocates to raise awareness, amplify young voices and encourage collective action against bullying.

From inspiring presentations to powerful performances and engaging discussions, the forum reminded us that everyone has a role to play in creating safer, kinder and more inclusive spaces for our children.
Here’s a look back at some of the highlights!

Today, we recognize World Mental Health Day!

Bullying can have a lasting impact on a child's mental health, affecting their confidence, emotional well-being, and sense of belonging.

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, Damarie Sewell from St. Jago High School shares an important message as we continue to raise awareness about bullying and its impact on our children.

At the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), we encourage everyone to play their part in creating safe, supportive environments where every child feels heard, valued, and protected.

🎀 Let's talk about bullying!
Gabriella Powell from Morant Bay High School took the microphone at the National Anti-Bullying Day Forum to hear directly from attendees about bullying, its impact, and the role we all play in putting an end to it.

Through these conversations, we're reminded of the importance of listening to young voices, encouraging open dialogue, and creating safer spaces for every child.

Because real change starts with awareness, understanding, and action! πŸ’›πŸ’š
