Amelia's first day in the Melrose Technology Club and she is already at level 7

The Melrose Technology Club is an after-school programme which is designed to provide students with opportunities to learn how to program computers. The activities are designed for children ages 4-12 who are enrolled in primary and pre-primary education. The strategies used to deliver the content are attune to best practices, questions, thoughts, ideas and inspiration on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration in the classroom. Teachers, therefore, enrol as a member of our club as a strategy to scaffold their professional skills and reach their students’ online and offline technology needs.
Our vision is that every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science, just like mathematics, language arts or social studies. To become literate citizens in today’s digital world and to test their interests in exploring computer science further as a career.
