Every great achievement begins with a story. 📖

A story read aloud.
A lesson shared.
A spark of curiosity that encourages a child to imagine possibilities beyond what they can see today.

Spending time with young minds is a reminder that the seeds we plant through reading, learning and encouragement often grow into dreams, ambitions and futures that will shape generations to come.

It was a privilege to spend time with students as part of Read Across Jamaica Day on May 5, celebrating the power of literacy and the endless possibilities that begin when a child opens a book.

The stories we place in the hands of children today often become the foundations upon which they build tomorrow.

The path to generational wealth often begins with secure land ownership.

On May 27, 2026, more than 95 residents of Manchester received registered land titles under the Systematic Land Registration Programme, gaining the security of tenure that comes with legal ownership.

For many recipients, the occasion marked the culmination of a long journey and the beginning of new opportunities. Land ownership provides a foundation for investment, development and wealth creation, while offering families greater confidence in planning for generations to come.

The National Land Agency remains committed to expanding access to registered land ownership and helping more Jamaicans secure their legacy through land.

On May 12, 2026, the Government of Jamaica signed a landmark US$9 million agreement with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), marking the formal launch of the Land Administration Capacity Enhancement Project (LACEP), a major milestone in Jamaica’s modernization journey.

Valued at approximately JM$1.4 billion, the project is being implemented in collaboration with the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX) and the University of Seoul. Through this partnership, the Land Administration Innovation Centre (LAIC) will be established at 84 Harbour Street, Kingston, providing structured training and technical development opportunities for policymakers, managers and operational officers across Jamaica’s public sector.

This transformative initiative represents a significant investment in capacity building, innovation and the modernization of land administration systems, further strengthening the public sector’s ability to deliver efficient and sustainable services to the people of Jamaica.

The women who build families help build nations. 💙

Through sacrifice, resilience, wisdom, and love, mothers and mother figures shape the values that strengthen homes, communities, and generations.

Today, we honour the women whose influence extends far beyond what can be seen, creating foundations that last for years to come.

The land does not speak loudly but it remembers everything.

Every boundary we draw, every decision we make, every footprint we leave behind becomes part of a larger story… one that outlives us.

Earth Day is a reminder that land is not just something we use.
It is something we are entrusted to protect, manage, and pass on with care.

At the National Land Agency, our work is rooted in that responsibility ensuring that how we define, value, and utilise land today does not compromise the generations that will depend on it tomorrow.

And the future of our land… is shaped by the choices we make now. 🌍

Happy Earth Day! 🌱

25 years… and the story is still unfolding.

The National Land Agency has been part of moments that matter. Helping people secure what is theirs, build what is possible, and create something that lasts beyond today.

Progress didn’t happen all at once.
It was built in the quiet work, the long days, the commitment to getting it right.

Every title issued.
Every map prepared.
Every customer served.

That is where the real impact lives.

This milestone is a reflection of the people behind the work and the purpose that continues to drive it forward.

25 years later, the mission remains clear.
We are one agency with one goal and we remain committed to serving you better.

And the next chapter is already in motion.
