We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Jacqueline daCosta on April 21, 2024. A respected member of our geospatial and land management community, Mrs. daCosta dedicated over 35 years to public service. Her initiatives in land management and policy reshaped our approach to land use and resource management. She also played a key role in bringing Jamaica to the forefront of technological adoption in GIS. Her commitment and leadership have left a lasting impact on our nation. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her legacy and the values she championed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and all who knew her. May her innovation, integrity, and leadership continue to inspire us.
