77 years ago, on July 8, 1943, two men from St. Thomas moved and seconded a resolution to form the Jamaica Labour Party. The resolution was moved by Mr. J.A. McPherson from Seaforth, and seconded by Mr. R.S. Campbell from Stokes Hall.

St. Thomas has always been a part of the fiber and backbone of the Jamaica Labour Party. We will bring it to it’s glorious and prosperous days again.
