A wonderful audience joined us for the screening of Hello Betty, kicking off the third edition of the Swiss Film Days in Jordan.

Ambassador Emilija Georgieva welcomed the audience with a few words and invited everyone to join us for the next screenings:

🌍 On 17 August, Switzerland’s annual Ambassadors’ Conference kicked off in Bern, bringing together Swiss ambassadors from around the world.

💬🇨🇭 As part of the programme, Ambassador Emilija Georgieva joined fellow ambassadors serving in the MENA region for a workshop chaired by the Head of the MENA Division of the FDFA, Ambassador Monika Schmutz. Together, they exchanged on the latest regional developments and discussed concrete ways to further strengthen Switzerland’s engagement with partners across the region.

انطلق مؤتمر السفراء السويسريين رسميًا! 🇨🇭

🌍 في 17 آب، انطلقت في بيرن أعمال المؤتمر السنوي للسفراء السويسريين، الذي يجمع سفراء سويسرا من مختلف أنحاء العالم.

💬🇨🇭 وفي إطار برنامج المؤتمر، شاركت السفيرة إميليا جورجييفا إلى جانب زملائها السفراء العاملين في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في ورشة عمل ترأستها السفيرة مونيكا شموتس، رئيسة قسم الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في وزارة الخارجية السويسرية. وتبادل المشاركون وجهات النظر حول آخر التطورات في المنطقة، وناقشوا سبلًا عملية لمواصلة تعزيز انخراط سويسرا وتعاونها مع شركائها في المنطقة.

🎥 Every story preserved is a piece of history remembered.

🇨🇭 The Embassy of Switzerland in Jordan is proud to support the screening of "Who Is Still Alive" and the accompanying exhibition by Swiss filmmaker Nicolas Wadimoff, featuring the testimonies of Gazans sharing their lived experiences since October 7.

🖼️ Through documentary film and photography, the exhibition highlights the importance of preserving personal narratives as part of our shared collective memory. Documenting lived experiences helps ensure that future generations can better understand the human impact of conflict, fostering empathy, dialogue, and reflection.

📍The exhibition is open to the public daily from 6:00 PM to midnight until 30 July. We encourage everyone to visit and engage with these powerful stories.

🎥 كل قصةٍ تُوثَّق هي جزءٌ من تاريخٍ سيبقى في الذاكرة.

🇨🇭 تفخر سفارة سويسرا في الأردن بدعم عرض الفيلم الوثائقي “من لا يزال حياً” والمعرض المرافق له للمخرج السويسري نيكولا واديموف، والذي يضم شهاداتٍ لفلسطينيين من غزة يروون تجاربهم الإنسانية منذ السابع من أكتوبر.

🖼️ من خلال الفيلم الوثائقي والتصوير الفوتوغرافي، يسلّط المعرض الضوء على أهمية حفظ الروايات الشخصية باعتبارها جزءًا من ذاكرتنا الجماعية. فتوثيق التجارب الإنسانية يساهم في تمكين الأجيال القادمة من فهم الأثر الإنساني للنزاعات، ويعزز قيم التعاطف والحوار والتأمل.
