It was the idea of Adam Buehler to organize base motorcyclists for activities and to bring awareness to DoD riders and to individuals who do not ride.

MISSION STATEMENT: To Establish and Maintain a Spirit of Comradeship and Esprit De Corps That Will Enhance the Prestige of All Motorcycle Riders, Encourage Ongoing Rider Education, Skills Development, and Reduce Motorcycle Mishaps. The Green Knights Military Motorcycle Club™ is a 501(c)(3) organization that was formed back in late 1999 and formally recognized in early 2000 at McGuire AFB, New Jers

ey. With the aid of the base MSF instructor, Jeff Richards, they were about to embark on a journey that they could have never imagined. The two set out to organize and create a club where riders can get together, discuss issues of the base, fight for biker rights, help each other, participate in charity events, and enjoy going on rides. Most of all, enjoy the ride and the shared common interest. After gathering up a handful of riders from the base, they were able to form the first chapter of the Green Knights at McGuire AFB, NJ. It was a start of a slowly growing trend that has erupted into not just the Air Force but across the board of the military. Our by-laws, policies, and mentorship outlines have become the basis of the United States Air Force current policy to have a motorcycle club on every base. Currently, there are 145 chapters worldwide in the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy at active, reserve, and guard bases. There are even some international allies such as the Royal Air Force, Irish Defense Force, Belgium military, Canadian Forces of Canada, and the Croatian Armed Forces. The club was designed and maintained for all Military and DoD riders. The Green Knights work hand in hand with the Wing Safety Office and Security Forces to help riders retain their rights and still follow the regulations set forth by the Federal, State, and local bases regulations. We fight for motorcyclists rights on base and many chapters have annual Motorcycle Safety/Awareness Rides each spring, to let people know we’re out there (lots of us). The Green Knights do not discriminate against any type of motorcycle, or trike during our open rides and events. Winter is a great time to give your ride some attention so it's ready when the riding season kicks off. One of the biggest issues we've seen, particularly with new riders, is their bike being poorly adjusted for them. Unless you are very lucky and the previous owner was your exact height and reach, chances are the controls are not in optimal position, and this can cause fatigue. The video attached is a good starting point for adjustments, and the process is quick and simple for most bikes. Bonus is a minor adjustment in controls, such as the clutch lever angle, can have a huge impact on rider comfort, particularly on those long days in the saddle.

As always, if you are unsure, or simply want some assistance, message your local Green Knight chapter and we will assist. We are gear heads as well as riders.

Every bike should be fitted to its rider. Even if your motorcycle has no apparent allowances, you can still make some basic adjustments that will improve you...

Motegi Riding Party 2024

Members of our club had an awesome time riding and learning on the professional level track at Motegi Mobility Resort this past weekend. All four riders and their bikes performed well. And a special shout out to our other members who showed up to provide pit support. ❤️🏍️

And a big thank you to former MotoGP rider Nobuatsu Aoki for putting up with one of our members as a pillion during her lottery win ride around the track. He was definitely holding back speed but it sure didn't feel like it to her! So fast!! 😬🤣
