The season for Kitayama River Rafting is coming to an end soon! (Until September 30th!)We’d like to introduce the skilled rafters who work hard every day in this heat!
Mr.T, the friendly Ikada-shi the raft master, greeted us with a warm smile!

Mr.T is also well-versed in the geology and terrain of Kitayama Gorge, one of the most striking geological sites in the Nanki Geopark. Not only does he guide the trekking route tracing the history of the raft masters, but he also skillfully navigates the river with expert paddle handling.

We hope you’ll come and enjoy this one-of-a-kind adventure!”He is also known for his lively talks that keep guests entertained! Not only that, but he’s also the craftsman who builds the Log rafts you’ll ride, working from fall through spring.Be sure to come meet him!

IKADA-SHI morning starts early time for getting ready Ikada-kudari.

We are now temporarily closed for Ikada-Kudari Tour due to heavy rain from typhoon Shan Shan.

Hopefully, We can operate the tour early next week.

Tour suspended on Aug 30th ー　Sep 1st for now.

Preserving our culture has been no easy task; it is a labor of love, driven by an unwavering pride and an unshakable passion to pass this legacy to the next generation.
We dedicate this prestigious award to the heart and soul of our tradition—the indefatigable oarsman, Ikada-shi, who toils under the summer sun, guiding the log rafts down the river with unparalleled skill and devotion.
