🇫🇮今日は大使館職員の堀内が夏休み中に訪れたオウルのおすすめスポットを紹介☀️

北フィンランド最大の都市 Oulu（オウル）は、2026年の欧州文化首都に選ばれ、大注目の街👀豊かな自然と最先端テクノロジーが共存する港町で、Nokiaや オウル大学 を中心に、ICTやスタートアップが集まる北欧有数のイノベーション都市として知られています🤝毎年開催されるエアギター世界選手権の開催地としても有名です🎸今年は欧州文化首都のおかげで、展覧会やパフォーマンス、音楽など文化行事が目白押し。日本人アーティストの作品も見られます。

オウルのおすすめスポットは…👇

🔹オウルのシンボルのひとつ、市場広場に立つ Toripoliisi (トリポリーシ像)。市場の治安維持に尽力した警察官をモデルにしたブロンズ像で、観光客に人気のフォトスポット！

🔹街の中心からほど近い Nallikari（ナッリカリ） は、約1km続く美しい砂浜で、夕日の名所。季節ごとに様々なアクティビティも楽しめます。

🔹少し足を延ばせば、今話題のHailuoto（ハイルオト島）も。今年の夏、本土と島を結ぶ全長8.4kmの橋が開通。アクセスがさらに便利になりました。

Today we would like to introduce some nice spots to visit in Oulu, where our colleague Tokiko visited during her summer holiday.

As Northern Finland’s largest city, Oulu is chosen as the European Capital of Culture 2026 and there are various kinds of events happening right now such exhibitions, performances, and music events including works by Japanese artists!

It’s also a vibrant port city where rich nature meets cutting-edge technology - home to Nokia and the University of Oulu, it is well-known as one of the Nordic region’s top innovation hubs for ICT and startups 🤝 It is also famous for hosting the annual Air Guitar World Championships which is happening at the end of this month!

Here are some recommended spots in Oulu… 👇

🔹 Toripoliisi
One of Oulu’s iconic symbols located in the Market Square. This bronze statue, modeled after a local police officer who kept the market safe, is a huge hit for tourist photos! 📸

🔹 Nallikari Beach
Located just a stone’s throw from the city center, this beautiful 1km sandy beach is famous for its stunning sunsets. You can enjoy various activities here year-round! 🌅

🔹 Hailuoto Island
A bit further out, but a must-visit! Access has become so much easier with the new 8.4km bridge connecting the island to the mainland opening this summer.

エルナ広報参事官と一緒に、フィンランドの育児パッケージ（2025年版）の中身をチェック！👶📦

フィンランドでは、一定の妊婦健診などを受けた家族は、出産前に手当として現金210€、または赤ちゃん用品が入った箱を受け取ることができます（こちらは39点！）。

箱のデザインはフィンランドのイラストレーター/グラフィックデザイナーのHeli Hyppönenによるもの🎨フィンランドの豊かな自然と動物たちをモチーフにしています。箱自体はベビーベッドとしても使用可能で、箱のデザインも中身も利用者の声を聞いて定期的に変更されます。

今日は簡単に作れてとっても美味しいほうれん草のパンケーキのレシピを紹介🥞🥬

リンゴンベリー（コケモモ）ジャムとの組み合わせは、ランチやディナーにもぴったり！ぜひレシピを保存して試してみてください⬇️

【材料】
🔹ほうれん草（生または冷凍）：200〜250g
🔹卵：3個🥚
🔹牛乳：500ml（2カップと1/2）🥛
🔹小麦粉：約165g
🔹溶かしバター(または液状マーガリン)：50ml（1/4カップ）
🔹塩：小さじ1/2
🔹焼き用：バター適量🧈

【レシピ】
✍️下準備
冷凍ほうれん草は解凍してしっかり水気を取ります。生のほうれん草を使う場合は、サッと茹でて冷水にとり、よく絞ってから細かく刻んでおきます。

1. ボウルに卵を入れ、泡立て器でといてから牛乳を加えます。
2. 小麦粉を少しずつ加えながら、ダマにならないようによく混ぜ合わせます。
3. 刻んだほうれん草、溶かしバター、塩を加えて混ぜます。
4. 生地を室温で15〜30分ほど寝かせます。
5. フライパン(またはパンケーキ用プレート)を中火で熱し、溶かしバターを薄くひきます。
6. 生地を流し込み、両面がきつね色になるまで香ばしく焼き上げたら完成！

Today is Mountain Day in Jaoan! And here we would like to introduce a classic Finnish landscape viewed from high above! Koli National Park is famous for its beauty and has been painted by many artists. There are not many high mountains like in Japan in Finland, but from the peak of Koli, you can have a nice view of Lake Pielinen, the fourth-largest lake in Finland, and the islands scattered across its surface.

8月9日はムーミンの生みの親、トーベ・ヤンソンの誕生日です。フィンランドでは8月9日は、「トーベ・ヤンソンの日・フィンランド芸術の日」として定められた公式の旗日で、日本では「ムーミンの日」として、親しまれています。

トーベは生涯を通して、家族や友人、編集者、そして世界中の読者と、たくさんの手紙を交わしました。そこには日々の出来事だけでなく、創作への思いやユーモア、そして相手を思いやる優しさが綴られています。また、世界中の読者から届く年間約2,000通もの手紙に、生涯に渡り丁寧に返事を書き続けました。

現在開催中の「トーベとムーミン展」では、トーベ作品を数多く翻訳し、評伝『トーヴェ・ヤンソン ムーミン谷の、その彼方へ』を遺した冨原眞弓さんへ、トーベが送った直筆の手紙が公開されています。また、埼玉県飯能市のトーベ・ヤンソンあけぼの子どもの森公園にも、トーベ本人の直筆の手紙が大切に展示されています。

そして、日本郵便とムーミンによる「手紙を送ろう」プロジェクトもスタートしました。「読むこと」「書くこと」を通して、自分の気持ちを言葉にし、大切な人へ届ける体験を提案する取り組みです。さらに、『ムーミン谷の彗星』の小説や絵本を読んで感じたことを、はがきに描いて送るコンテストも始まっています。（9月30日締切）
トーベの人生や手紙に関心のある人は、投稿画像６枚目左の２冊がおすすめ。自身が受け取った手紙などから紡がれた短編集もあります。今日は、大切な誰かを思い浮かべながら、手紙を書いてみませんか？

August 9 is the birthday of Tove Jansson, the creator of Moomin. In Finland, August 9 is an official flag day known as “Tove Jansson Day” and “Day of Finnish Art”.

Tove exchanged many letters with family, friends, editors, and readers worldwide, filled with daily life, creative thoughts, humor, and kindness. It is said that she replied to about 2,000 letters from global fans every year throughout her life.

The ongoing exhibition “Tove Jansson and the Moomins” at Fukuoka Art Museum displays handwritten letters from Tove to Mayumi Tomihara, who translated many of Tove’s works and wrote the critical biography: “Tove Jansson: Beyond Moominvalley”. Her handwritten letters are also preciously exhibited at the Tove Jansson Akebono Children’s Forest Park in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture.

A joint initiative by Japan Post and Moomin official “Let’s Send a Letter” project is now calling participants, proposing the experience of putting feelings into words and delivering them to loved ones through reading and writing. Postcard Art Contest is also on going: A contest where participants draw and send their impressions from reading the novel or picture book “Comet in Moominland” (deadline: September 30).

For those interested in Tove’s life and letters, two books on the left of the 6th posted image are recommended. There is also short story collections spun from the letters she received. Why not write a letter today while thinking of someone special?

フィンランド大使館のパイヴィ・ネヴァラ公使参事官・副代表は、本日、平和祈念式典に参列しています。それに先立ち、昨日は長崎の原子爆弾落下中心地碑にて献花をし、犠牲となられた方々に深い哀悼の意を表するとともに、世界に平和が訪れることを心より願いました。

Päivi Nevala, Minister Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Finland, is attending The Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony today. Prior to this, she laid flowers at the Atomic Bomb Hypocenter Monument yesterday, expressing deep condolences to the victims and sincerely praying for world peace.

Puistoruokailu（プイストルオカイル）は公園での食事の意味で、学校給食のない夏休み期間中でも、すべての子どもが少なくとも1日1回は温かい食事を取れるようにと、1942年に始められた取り組みです🤝一部の自治体のみですが、児童公園で容器を持って並ぶ子どもたちにスープやパンが配られます。

Puistoruokailu, meaning ‘playground dinner’, was started in 1942 to ensure that all children get at least one hot meal a day in the summer, when there is no school lunch available.
