在大阪カンボディア王国名誉領事館は、本日をもちまして、開館25周年を迎えることなりました。四半世紀という大きな節目を無事に迎えられましたのは、ひとえに皆様の温かいご支援の賜物と、心より深く感謝申し上げます。
2001年の開館以来、当館は日本とカンボジア王国の架け橋として、経済・文化・教育など多角的な交流を支援してまいりました。この25年間で、カンボジアは目覚ましい経済発展を遂げ、日本との関係も「戦略的パートナーシップ」へと深化しました。
当館は、万博を通じて生まれた新たなつながりを一時的なものに終わらせず、「アフター大阪・関西万博」における両国の関係強化を最重要課題と位置づけています。
25年前、小さな一歩から始まった当館の活動が、今や関西とカンボジアを結ぶ強固な絆へと成長したことを大変感慨深く感じております。2025年の大阪・関西万博後の新時代において、カンボジアと日本が共に成長し、繁栄する未来を目指し、職員一同、決意を新たに尽力してまいります。
Today marks the 25th anniversary of the Honorary Consulate of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Osaka. That we have reached this significant milestone of a quarter-century is entirely due to the warm support of everyone involved, for which we express our sincerest and deepest gratitude.
Since its establishment in 2001, the Consulate has served as a vital bridge between Japan and the Kingdom of Cambodia, supporting multifaceted exchanges in sectors including economy, culture, and education. Over these 25 years, Cambodia has achieved remarkable economic development, and our bilateral relationship has deepened into a "Strategic Partnership."
The Consulate is committed to ensuring that the new connections forged through the World Expo are not merely temporary. We have positioned the strengthening of relations between our two nations in the "After-EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai" era as our most important mission.
It is deeply moving to reflect on how our activities, which began with a small step 25 years ago, have grown into a powerful bond connecting the Kansai region and Cambodia. In the new era following the 2025 Osaka, Kansai Expo, our entire staff is renewed in our determination to strive for a future where both Cambodia and Japan grow and prosper together.
