After over 120 days at sea and more than 30,000 miles travelled, the crew of USS Rushmore (L*D-47) returned home this past week to the warm embrace of family and loved ones.

During this historic deployment, USS Rushmore played a major role in blockading the Strait of Hormuz during Operation Epic Fury, preventing hundreds of ships from transiting through.

Thank you to everyone whose patience, resilience, and steadfast support throughout the deployment helped make our mission a success. Welcome home, Rushmore!
