東海村姉妹都市交流会館 Tokai Sister City Hall おしゃれな隠れ家風ログハウスに遊びに来ませんか? This is also available to anyone for meeting, gathering, tea time, party or studying. We have English-speaking staff (9 a.m.-4 p.m.).

東海村姉妹都市交流会館は国際交流活動の拠点として外国人との交流イベントのほか、各種団体による会議、パーティーや勉強、ティータイムなどにご利用いただけます。

また、英語対応可能なスタッフがおります(9:00~16:00)ので、困りごとのある外国人の方はお気軽にお立ち寄りください。

Tokai Sister City Hall is a facility for various gatherings and events mainly related to international exchange. Please feel free to come when you have concern.

総吹き抜けの広々としたとても開放的な空間です。団体で使用される場合には、あらかじめ予約をしてください。
Wi-Fi(無線LAN)、プロジェクター、スクリーン、ホワイトボードも
無料でご利用いただけます。
The main hall with open ceiling is a spacious and open area. Booking must be made in advance for a large group. Free Wi-Fi, projector, screen and whiteboard are available in the hall and the meeting room.

3. Hello Baby Classes for Pregnant Women
Let’s learn about pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and share your concerns and experiences with us as an expecting mother. You can join either one or both classes.

Lecture by a midwife, a nutrition manager and a dental hygienist. Childcare service will be provided for free.

3. Aerial Spraying of Rice Fields
Rice fields throughout Tokai Village will be sprayed with insecticide by unmanned helicopters for insect pest control. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Sat. 25 Jul., 4:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (In case it is postponed due to bad weather, the notification will be given through the community radio system.)
Area: All rice fields in the village
Notes:
*Do not enter or approach the spraying area during spraying.
*Rice fields near main roads, school routes and residential areas will be sprayed early in the morning.
*If insecticide gets on your skin by any chance, wash it away with soap immediately.
*If insecticide sticks on your car, wash it away with water immediately as it could stain.
*Follow the instructions of the field workers to avoid accidents.

4. Tokai Village Museum 5th Anniversary

5. Special Child Allowance
The village will provide Special Child Allowance (60,000 yen) to the students from elementary to high school living in the village. Households that receive a notification postcard in Aug. do not need to submit an application. Households that receive an application form in Aug. should complete the form and return it by Fri. 18 Sep.
If your child lives outside the village due to reasons such as attending school, but the parent or guardian remains registered as a resident of Tokai Village, please download the application form from the official village website, fill it out, and submit it to the School Education Section by Fri. 18 Sep.

6. Pizza Cooking Class
Children will enjoy learning basic cooking skills with their parents.

Eligible people: Children in the second or third year of kindergarten/nursery and their guardians who live in Tokai Village
Capacity: 12 pairs (One guardian per child)

New Sports Experience Day will be held every month featuring various unique sports.

Shinsuke Yosh*take has delighted readers since his 2013 debut “It Might be an Apple,” known for his sharp humor and imaginative view of everyday life. This exhibition features over 400 works, including sketches, original illustrations and sculptures.

【Nationwide J-ALERT Test on Wed. 1 July】

J-ALERT is a national instant warning system which provides information concerning the protection of people (missile launches, etc.) or disaster- and weather-related information (earthquake, tsunami, etc.).

The J-ALERT Test will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 1 July via Disaster Prevention Administrative Radio.

3. 2026 Municipal/Prefectural Residence/Forest Environmental Tax Notice
Residence tax is imposed on residents, including foreign nationals, who are registered in Tokai Village as of 1 Jan. The tax is calculated based on the income earned from January through December of the previous year, so it may be imposed even if you have no income this year. The tax notice will be mailed from Wed. 10 Jun. Please contact the Tax Section if you have not received the tax notice by Fri. 19 Jun. Employees whose taxes are deducted from their paychecks will receive the tax notice from their employers.
Payment: If you want to use direct debit to pay tax, please bring the necessary documents.

🇬🇧 2026年5月30日(土)、姉妹都市交流会館にて、「紅茶とスコーンとイギリスのお話」のイベントを開催しました!
イギリス出身の Tom Gibb さんを講師にお迎えし、日本語と英語を交えながら、イギリスの文化について楽しくご紹介いただきました。
2種類のスコーンと紅茶をご用意して、30名の日本人・外国人の参加者の皆さまがそれぞれのティータイムの過ごし方などを紹介し合いました。
初めて姉妹都市交流会館を訪れてくださった方も多く、どのテーブルも笑顔があふれる素敵なひとときとなりました✨

On May 30, we welcomed 30 participants to a special multicultural event Tea, Scones & Stories from the UK
Our guest speaker, Tom Gibb, shared fascinating insights into British culture and everyday life. Over tea and freshly baked scones, participants enjoyed lively conversations and cultural exchange in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

3. On-demand Share-ride Taxi Service “Ainori-kun”
Ainori-kun is a service for Tokai Village residents, that provides share-ride service from your home/designated location to a destination, at lower fares than commercial taxi service.
Service Details
-The service is available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. on Sat.) except Sun., public holidays and New Year’s holidays.
-Both the departure point and the destination must be within Tokai Village.
-The fare is 300 yen for one trip (one way), and 100 yen for disabled people, people certified for Long-Term Care, preschool children and one caregiver/guardian.

After signing up in the app or LINE, you can make a reservation for a ride starting three days before the day you wish to use the Ainori-kun service.

4. Spring Cleanup Day

5. Hello Baby Classes for Pregnant Women
Let’s learn about pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and share your concerns and experiences with us as an expecting mother. You can join either one or both classes.
Date and Content:
(1) Fri. 3 Jul., 9:15 a.m. - noon (Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.)
Lecture by a midwife, a nutrition manager and a dental hygienist. Childcare service will be provided for free.
(2) Sat. 4 Jul., 9:15 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. (Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.)
Talk about babies’ crying / how to bathe a newborn / pregnancy experience for fathers / useful tips for before and after childbirth. Bring an apron for each attendee. No childcare service will be provided.
