But the mouthwatering ice cream isn’t all you’ll find there. The shelves are also stocked with a variety of Hiezu products, making tulipana a perfect sweet spot to cool off during the summer.

🛖Ready for a journey through time? Discover the Japan of a century ago at Itaibara Village!🛖

Located about a 10-minute drive from downtown Chizu, Itaibara Village feels like a glimpse into Japan’s past. Nestled in the mountains, the village has preserved the traditional scenery of a Japanese countryside community. As you wander through the village, you may feel as though you’ve stepped into an anime fantasy world, with the thatched-roof Fujiwara Residence, traditional houses and historic shrines creating a nostalgic atmosphere. 🌄🛖⛩

The best time to visit is from late October to early November, when the autumn foliage dyes the village red and gold.🍂🍁
We recommend reserving a taxi (through Notririn taxi service) or renting a car to get there, as public transportation options are limited.

🍜A gyukotsu ramen lover? Sumire Shokudo is a must-visit! 🍜

Founded around 70 years ago, Sumire Shokudo has since been a beloved local eatery, drawing both locals and visitors back time again and again with its nostalgic flavors. The casual restaurant is best known for its authentic Tottori gyukotsu ramen and its carefully simmered oden, infused with the rich umami of a deeply flavored dashi broth. 🍢

The undisputed crowd favorite is, needless to say, the signature gyukotsu ramen. Its appeal lies not in complexity, but in simplicity – a rich beef bone broth paired with fresh toppings that allow the natural flavors of each ingredient to shine. ✨

Unlike many other restaurants, Sumire Shokudo serves oden all year around. Each ingredient is slowly simmered in one-of-a-kind dashi made from bonito fish flakes, shiitake mushrooms, kelp and beef bone marrow, allowing every bite to soak up layers of savory umami. 🍄‍🟫🌿🦴It’s no surprise that customers keep coming back for this irresistible combination.

Ordering the oden is easy:
1. Help yourself to the ingredients you’d like.
2. Let the staff know how many pieces you’ve selected.
That’s it! Your comfort bowl of Tottori’s treats is ready to enjoy.

Be sure to stop by and experience Tottori’s soul foods while exploring the prefecture! 🍜🍢

🦪Savor the umami of oysters nurtured by sea in Tottori🦪

Rock oysters, known as iwagaki in Japan, are undoubtedly one of the seasonal favorites among locals in Tottori. Prized for their juicy texture and rich flavor, they are indeed the best treat for seafood lovers.

The wild rock oysters harvested in Tottori are branded Natsuki (Summer Glow), a name inspired by the way they shine like the sparkling summer sea. Whether enjoyed raw or grilled, Natsuki oysters are guaranteed to impress. For the purest taste, simply squeezing a little fresh lemon juice over them and savor their natural sweetness and briny freshness straight from the sea.🌊✨

Why not stop by Muranaka Suisan, where you can indulge in freshly harvested Natsuki oysters while taking in spectacular coastal views?

🎆Feel the heat of the dynamic Gaina Festival! 🎆

Every summer, the people of Yonago come together to celebrate the Gaina Festival, a lively event filled with energetic parades and spectacular fireworks.✨ In the local dialect, gaina means “big”, a fitting name for one of the city’s largest and most exciting festivals.

One of the festival’s biggest attractions is the Yonago Gaina Manto, a towering lantern stack that stands 10 meters tall and weighs around 40 kilograms. 🏮Only highly trained performers can skillfully balance and maneuver this enormous lantern using their hands, head and chin after years of practice. It’s no wonder that audiences are always captivated by this breathtaking performance.

Other festival highlights include the powerful Gaina Taiko drum performances and the grand fireworks display on the festival’s final night. Come and join the excitement and passion of the Gaina Festival this summer!

🥛After a relaxing soak in Misasa Onsen, what could be better than a cup of refreshing yogurt?🥛

Misasa yogurt is specially crafted for onsen lovers to enjoy after a rejuvenating bath. Made with Tottori’s renowned Shirobara milk (White Rose milk), each cup naturally forms two layers during fermentation. Before taking your first bite, give it a gentle stir with a spoon to blend the creamy layers together. 🐄
